i think could be the trottle'grip too near the switch box... or the cable all the way to carburtor lack of lubricant, or the spring recoil for the trottle to return either rusty or broke... so BTw when will the malaca makan trip be? or any near by Sg gathering?

:btw: it is always very important to wash away all the old dirty grease & repack it with the correct amount of grease, if not the rollers portion will be very noisy & also wear out faster, learn tat when i dismantle my own variator unit to inspect. Previous mechanic din follow spec when doing the job

 u see me too up already, my is the carb version, so is easy to diy, everything very basic. No error code or diagnostic stuff required. Urs i dun have the parts or service manual, i dun even noe the requirements to set. Wait anyhow diy screw up the bike or electronics even worse. If u can get ur hands on the service manual, maybe i can help abit. Maybe u can ask nakano since he's riding the FI version.

:btw: Qrancshion, the tmax external looks like a scooty with fairings on, but when u dismantle it is complicated inside, more like a hyrid between motorcycle & scoot. But chasis, engine layout everything more towards a motorcycle, u should have notice when u saw my DIY photos. the only difference is a short belt for primary drive. Final drive is chain.

Hello everyone,

I'm Shamsul from KL. Just thought I'd drop in and introduce myself. I got myself a Tmax at the end of last year and I'm riding it everyday especially to/fro work about 70km a day. I hope to join the very interesting discussions here.

Thanks.

Regards,

Shamsul

p/s: Cheeko, madtmax a.k.a. tokscoot tells me that I have you to thank for getting the parts I need. He's been very helpful. Thanks to you both.
