Please comment on these bikes:

1) Intruder

2) Phantom

3) Eliminator

4) Dragstar.

I am planning to get a 2nd hand bike. Which would be a good deal in terms of fuel consumption, maintenance, parts replacements etc etc? I thank you for views in advance.

Actually, it can reach 115-120km/h, no problem. Its already feels damn fast, scary man. Don't want to go so fast also, very dangerous.

Any comments on this bike?

De Xing @ Bt Batok is selling TA200 for $5000/5100 OTR. downpayment $700, interest 4%. Is this a good deal?

which "party" for insurance and from which company?

what accessories do they include?

is erp and erp's bracket included?

is road tax included

is gst included?

if everything is included,

$5,100( total amount) - $700 (dp) = $4,400

lets say u take a 3 year installment plan = 4% x 3 years = 12%

12% of 4,400 = $528 (interest)

$528 (interest) + $5,100 (total amount) = $5628 (end price u have to pay)

if i miss out smth, do correct me

just my 2 cents worth :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

should be ard 400km without the reserve but i tried the top speed is 120km without ending into the RPM redzone yet...size wise the bike is much bigger than phantom.

Hi Guys,

I am researching on class2B cruisers too. Got any websites with pics of the Daystar, Phantom and Shadow 125? Very very hard to find pics man .. :nono:

i did quite alot of research before, but forgot now.

try thai motor or something similar sites for phantom, and on singapore forum sites for discussions.

same for daelim, search in singapore sites, not much pics though. anyway look for the specs.. pics no use... u can see plenty of the physical bikes here.

but i am sure you will regret if u buy daelim, especially daystar... it looks big but you will feel very fake of yourself with low power bike. its only 125cc u know. i'll forward u all specs and pics if i can find them on my archive.

Daystar ==> fake to Dragstar classic, low power

Magma ==> fake to Magna, low power, style not bad

Shadow 125 ==> ugly, good quality

Virago 125 ==> not bad, good quality

Phantom 150 ==> i dun think two stroke engine(from NSR) is fit to cruiser style

Phantom 200 ==> nice design, easy n cheap maintainance, quality not so bad though easy to rust, good price

CM125 ==> old style, good quality

Rebel 125 ==> nice style though too small, good quality

Others ==> dunno. hee hee... check yourself

there's one bike with v twin, and look quite fierce, i dunno what brand seems nice. check it out. i think its one of the korean or taiwaniese one.

(ps. no hard feeling to those who riding daelims)

u forgot to mention Phantom 150 come with a radiator which 200 dun have

v twin engine is hyosung aquila a korea bike

as least daelim save on fuel very economical compare to others and not to mention the design is nice and big plus large fuel tank so can travel very far and long then top up.

of course phantom bike have a better resale value too.

erm... but Dalim parts are not as easily available on the market as Honda parts?

do correct me if i am wrong since i've always had this mentality.

regards..

Posted

yup the original parts are only available at sole agent and some shops only which make it very rare, however one good point about it is because it is a co-operate design between honda and korea daelim, any missing or spoil parts just get the honda ones to replace will do.

ta150 has a higher maintanence cost when compared to ta200

but yes, the performance like pick up and top end is better.

but i dun think 2 stoke bikes are recommended to be cruising at top speed?

thats 1 thing i believe a ta200 wins in.

might be a mistake by me though :p
