Looking for affordable helmets and gloves

I will be starting my first 2b practical lesson next week. Anyone knows where I can get a cheap helmet and riding gloves? The driving centre sells these for $70+ if I remember correctly, hoping to find more affordable options as I'm not really sure about the market prices.

Get Nova helmet, very comfy. Get from Ah Boy shop, it cost only $50~$60. Gloves get from carousell, I think got someone selling Fox Glove $20? Nova helmet is very common because it's comfy and PSB approved. All the best!

Alternatively you can get those PSB approved helmet on sale for $10~$20 on Carousell because during lessons, you would have to put your helmet on the ground and stuff. It will tend to get scratched but then once you buy bike can just use the helmet for pillion and buy yourself a good one. Your choice, Nova is also a good helmet too but see if you want spend that much or not.

Thanks for the help. Found some cheap helmets and gloves at carousell so I may get them there. Are the CDC helmets and gear worth getting? elbow and knee pads are $25, gloves ranging from 20+ and above and helmets from $28 and above. Don't know why there are no pictures of their gear online

No comments about the gear but if me I won't spend so much, although I stay like 4 bus stops away from CDC, I enrolled at SSDC. 1hour+ journey but still worth it. They provide everything except gloves but not only for that, very fast and easy to pass. See how much you want spend bro. Suggest just get any $10~$20 PSB helmet and the rest from carousell too? hear NTUC got sell knee and elbow guard , you might want to check it out. Imo no point spending so much gear for prac because eventually you will be going at 10~30km/h. If me I would get the least as the rest of the money can be used for your license and eventually once get your bike, spend more on your gear? I would say follow what your wallet says.

Elbow guard and knee guard they will provide. Just buy a cheap $30 helmet to learn, buy some $20 glove from carousell and arm sleeve. Buy some neck/hair scarves in case you use the school helmets for hygiene
