Partially Colour Deficiency.

hi, i am 25 this year planning to get my first even license, 2B license......

 

i can differentiate the colour red amber and green but i know i will be screwed on the Ishihara test.

 

anybody out here kind enough to share with me their experience on this issue, because i don't really see this being brought up much.

When you apply for license, they will do a color and vision test first. Go through that and if you pass, you get in.

 

So just apply first then see how.

Since when they conduct Ishihara test?

Last I took my 2A, it was just 3 (or maybe 4) color to identify but that was like 15 years ago at CDC.

Not sure if it has change now.

Took 2B at CDC in 2011, they gave aided sight and color vision test. Just ask to check colors and see small numbers.

 

2A in 2013 and Class 2 recently also a CDC, no vision test at all.

 

I assume the centers only do a vision and color test the first time and they don't after that since they have your records.

Why not just go to the center and sign up first, they will conduct it on the spot before you even pay.

 

If cannot pass, then go to the next center.

I am partially colour deficiency and I know exactly how you feel. Fret not, I took mine in BBDC back in 2008 when I was 18. They did some eye test and colour test. I got thru it smooth sailing. The colour test are all individual colours. No ishihara test back then. But it has already been 8 years.
