What can cause a bumper to have scratches?

Rented this car, dont remember hitting anything then only realised the scratch after the owner told me.. Is it people just scratch for fun? I parked sideways in my lot but i didnt really cause any trouble for the 2 cars parked beside me as i didnt park out of the lot also.

could be road debris? is it very deep? i heard that some workshop do touch up for quite affordable price.

Yeah its deep. Sian touch up and respray 180SGD.. zz. Dunno how i got it. I heard abt 4-5 scratches. Dunno whether is it they do or hit and run.

dun worry, cos my car also same thing, scratched will come out of no where.

 

dark colored cars are ok as cant really see, if white like mine, very easily seen...

If you are renting a car, make sure you bring someone along to take picture and record every single visible dents and dinks so that you dun end up paying for someone else's mistake
