Hari Raya + Cameron Practice Ride

Well done, everyone! Good ride :p :thumb::thumb:

Time & Date: Thursday. 9 Sept 2010. 9.30pm

Meet at: Singapore Expo Carpark

TCSS, eat, drink & smoke if you want.

Ride

Time: 10.15pm sharp

Route: Xilin Ave, ECP, Telok Blangah/Pasir Panjang Highway (high speed section)

Exit highway when see Signboard for Alexandra Road

Turn right at Lights to South Buona Vista Road

Twisties: South Buona Vista Rd to Kent Ridge, U-turn at Commenwealth Ave West Junction, South Buona Vista

Climb "Mt" Faber, via Morge Road. One loop and re-group beside Fragrance Hotel.

U-Turn before Vivocity towards west.

Pit-stop: McDonalds on West Coast Highway

Note: This is a good weather ride. That means if its only slight drizzle, we'll ride. No ride if heavy downpour at start time. On the way, heavy downpour look for shelter and stop.

The weather was perfect for the ride. Cloudy but no rain.

The ride started at approximately 10.30pm from Expo as there was some discussion on where to go. As suggested by Nudge, we made a 10 minute peek into his "home turf" at Changi Business Park. Thanks for the intro, Nudge!

The main group comprising Nikonll, Yeong, Dotless, Binteng, Divine, Seany, Bloddychamp and me the rode of for the planned route. We promptly got lost for about 5 minutes trying to get out of the Biz Park!

As promised, everyone enjoyed the bends although traffic held us up when we were climbing Faber (I respectfully choose not to call it Mount as it certainly is not!). Nevertheless, we held back and still enjoyed the twists with decent speed.

On the way to our pit stop at West Coast McD, traffic lights split the group into 2. Sensing this, Nikon, Yeong and I who were in front, stopped and waited for about 10 minutes. They weren't to be seen. I then asked Nikon and Yeong to proceed to McD whilst I back-tracked to see if they were ok. They were no where to be seen all along Pasir Panjang Road, so I decided to proceed to McD as well.

When I reach McD, everyone was happily sitting in McD enjoying their well earned grub. Apparently Binteng enjoyed the South Buona Vista route so much, he led the 2nd group there for another round!

Thanks to everyone who participated. :)

Special thanks to Bloodychamp and Seany who acted as sweepers. :thumb:

Just sent my bike in for a Full body check up, was advised by Chief Roy to get the OWS Fuel Injection treatment for the bike.

OWS has a 3 in 1 engine treatment. This Fuel injection cleaner is just one part.

Current review so far, throttling is quite smooth, the OWS cleans away the carbon/sludge build up at the Fuel injection nozzle...was advised to give this small pampering every 2-3mths for the bike...

Any brothers tried other Fuel injection cleaner products? can share info

How long does the full body check up take? and whats the cost of the treatment?

this post is to RAMSNAKE.. bro.. careful man.. but since you took the same first step that i made, change which ever part you can man.. nice deal!!! lols, jokes aside, do take care!!

I dropped the bike off early in the morning. Hats off to them because CKA's Ah Ping worked his arse off to get the bike ready and clean.

Assume they started work at 9am. Ah Ping called me at 4pm. -1hr lunch so total work hours was 6hrs. I can't really say what they did to do the "system analysis" and "clean up" because I wasn't there. Hence I'll ride for a while before updating...

The OWS fuel injection cleaner cost $14++ please confirm with CKA the price bro.

by the way, whats the price of your RS Taichi waterproof jacket?

about 200+

Thanks, Nivlek! :)

Yup, new rear end & fairings... :thumb: :thumb:

I was on the way home Sat afternoon from shopping at Bike Pasar Malam. Riding behind a lorry at safe distance. Traffic quite heavy. Approached X junction, lights turned amber. Lorry proceeded and I stopped. Next thing I knew, heard the crash and I was looking at the bike tank, then front cowling... landed and rolled. My first high-side!

Having checked myself to make sure I'm basically ok, I couldn't help but smile...

AUNTY tried to chiong traffic light! Power driver...

Komine JK-702 fully tested and approved, guys. :thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb:

Go get it at Motoworld as they're having a sale now. Worth every cent. I also wanted the Optional CE Back Protector(SK-479) but they didn't have it in stock. I placed an order anyway.

Ride safe! :p
