go put netural , rev the bike and locate the part that is loose

That's right. To be more effective, remove side fairing (one side will do) first.

Do as Binteng says and see if you can re-produce the sound. Then put your hand in to touch various parts near the source of sound to pin-point the loose part. Be careful when touching hot surfaces. Use gloves. If the noise goes away on contact with your hand, you've located the faulty/loose part. Shut off engine and inspect to ensure part is not damaged (e.g broken bolt etc.). If its just loose, re-tighten.

Repeat procedure to ensure bike runs without sound. Then re-attach fairing and go for a ride for further test.

cheers

Binteng, sorry I couldn't meet u at CKA yesterday.

So how is it? You installed the K&N inside the box right? Do you feel the difference?

That's great, Binteng! :thumb::)

Could you provide more details, please? E.g:

1) K&N fitted inside air box, right? The filter itself is mounted to the throttle body?

2) Drilled holes on air box or no holes?

3) There is a cap with 4 bolts at the top of the air box. This served as air intake for the original stock air filter. Did you fix this cap on the air box or removed?

Thanks + owe you one Milo Dinosaur :p

Ans ..

1. K&N is fitted inside the Air box.

2. There is no need of drilling hole on the box.

3. As for this.. the whole air box will be leave it as it ( for stock bike ). just take out the stock filter , replace with K&N ... The cap when u turn upside down there a big hole just abit bigger than the head of the k&n filter.. just squeeze thru the K&N head into the cap head and tighten with the _____ . ( i forget what is this metal ring called ) lol..

this process takes about ... 10-15min .. if you lazy to do it yourself.. i can meet up and fix it up just for a cup of milo ice thats all . =DDD

For ramsnake case , you need to find back your airbox .. with or without the stock filter wont be a problem ..

Binteng,

"metal ring" = clamp

I have my OEM airbox and will be modifying it to achieve these:

1) Better unrestricted airflow and therefore more efficient combustion, thus increasing power output; and

2) Create extra storage compartment.

Those who are interested in learning more about air-intake systems can go here.

Just fitting the K&N inside the OEM air box, Binteng has already discovered that it provides better throttle response. Thus proving that K&N's free-airflow properties being better than stock paper air filters. However, I'm not sure about:

1) In fitting the K&N to the OEM air box cap/cover, he has effective reversed the air flow through the K&N filter. I'm not sure if this affects the K&N's filtering capacity.

2) I doubt this installation increases power output because air flow is still restricted by the OEM air box's tiny air inlets. Binteng's report of

When my bike is ready, perhaps Binteng and I can go for dyno tests to prove/test out these points :)

cheers

oops~ so long nv check forum. i missed the mass ride. lol

last wk i saw a white rwr125 outside SCDF training academy along jln bahar. i wonder who was it...

question: i wonder if u guys experience this before....

at around gear 3~4 during acceleration, hear sound like this "behhhhhhhhh-blablablablablabla-(up gear)-behhhhhhhhhhhhh-blablablablabla- (reach >100)- only behhhhhhhhhhhh. i hear the abnormal sound "blablablabla" usually when i go up slope.

1)chain problem?

2)engine problem?

3)normal?

4)i too heavy... 68kg. LOL

6)i was dragging the gear?

sigh. everytime i wash bike, either it rains after that or the bloody grass cutter create a mess near my bike (as if my bike need camouflage like RECCE bike)

Pray for "P-A-S-S" before every ride. Patience, Alertness, Skillfulness, Safe journey.

This type of sound we have to try it out..

or maybe let another rider try..

cause for this type of sound , different engine produce different sound even tho is same type of engine..

we cant conclude the answer for you =x
