I'm using limbat's all weather crystal gold. The throw is excellent and gives me max visibility in all weather. I don't really care about super white bulbs, most important is to be able to see far ahead while i'm riding be it heavy rain, heavy fog/mist. Thats where the weakness of white bulbs are.

Thrash? Don't mind if i do.

Hi, anyone knows the size for spec 3 rear plate light? Would colours other than the stock yellow bulb be legal on the road? Thanks.

The size is T10.

There are blue, green & red. All 3 colours not pass. White is ok.

Hey Guys.

Has anybody tried the HIR lights? Is it better than the one Thrasher is using that is the All Weather Crystal Gold from limbat? And what are the the watts for Super 4 headlights? Is it the 60/55 or any other watts are possible to put on the s4? :cheeky:

HIR would probably fail inspection. yup the headlight is 55/60. wouldn't recommend putting other wattage as it might burn the wires if too high wattage

One thing to take note from experience. All weather lights are good, just make sure you use the right wattage. I melted my headlight socket. Was a real ***** trying to pull my faulty lights out

Thrash? Don't mind if i do.

Hella Micro DE foglights, better shine & zoom @ wanted line of sight..

Coupled with Osram All Season 2700-3000K H3 bulbs.

just cover them when in Sg, & also during inspection.

DIY, need fuse, relay and switch for them.

Original headlight wiring harness has been sized for 55/60watt with tolerance of 10%+/- thereabout by factory.

Free form reflector headlight has chrome adhesive coating forming the walls of the headlamp.

Material used will only be able to withstand the range of heat that a typical 60watt filament bulb generates.

As filament bulbs produce much heat, the higher the wattage => more heat generated

An example of S4 freeform reflector headlamp module

Pic is for illustration only.

Using the theory of refraction and reflection of filament bulb. Light is being thrown frontwards.

With thoughts of having more output => brighter... makes sense to use higher wattage bulbs....

many ignored the complications where higher heat comes along

1) Headlight connector/wireharness melt

2) Headlight chrome reflector area burnt/turns cloudy or whitish or turns dull

3) Lens starts to blur or cloudy

Possible type of failures
