Hi all, does anyone know how to replace the headlight lens?

 

The lens on my 2nd hand S4 is very yellowish so just got a new one from the net.

I have removed all the screws from the headlight but the lens still can't out.

Anyone can help?

Yap..already took out the 3 screws. Also lifted the 3 small metal clips holding the lens but still cannot take out the lens.

In this case u may need use a bit of more force to pull it out... it might had stick 2 together with the black headlight cover...

 

Pull the chrome lining not the clear lens... the spare one u bought come with the chrome thingy>?

Which bulb gives the best throw and brightness? I'm currently using bulb from limbat.

I'm using limbat's hir bulbs.. so far very good light throw n brightness..

haha i had to google limbat. its such a funny nick for lim battery. anyone know which might be a better place to get this done? thinking of changing to white light, so its between limbat and this thread i guess?

also, i can imagine fog lights being useful in NS highway or trunk roads in msia. what about in SG? are they any good, and are we allowed to use them legally on a daily basis?

Fog lights are illegal here. I think i'll use their HIR lights next

The boldor versions fix it to their bike, at least logical ah cos they go touring. But foglights on roads here is a hazard for other road users. OVERKILL

Hella 500FF clear & yellow lens, uber over killer on the road...

 

then changed to this:-

Hella Micro DE foglights, better shine & zoom @ wanted line of sight..

Coupled with Osram All Season 2700-3000K H3 bulbs.

 

just cover them when in Sg, & also during inspection.

 

DIY, need fuse, relay and switch for them.

u mean heat shrinked resistors?

 

DIY, Sim Lim Tower.

 

ready made, not sure, or online, it comes in a module, that can adjust the blinking fast or slow.

 

Tip: actually, Yamaha has LED blinkers as OEM accessories, it comes with the heat shrinked resistors.

for conversion to Honda's connection, MW has the Rizoma connectors. or DIY by purchasing online, Sumitomo connectors for Honda.

no particular shop name. hv to go recce yrself, cos Im nt that technical enough to DIY that.

 

as for the blinkers, you can google online to see where is the cheapest and also frm the picture, you can roughly compare & see if it fits the bike?
