Think can ask bomerman81 to rename this thread as "SBF Majesty 250 Cafe", looks like a good thread with valuable info sharing and should be made into a 'Cafe'!

I feel it will be interesting to name this thread to Majesty YP 250 / Honda Forza Cafe since these 2 bikes are in direct competition of one another.

When i dont have to pillion my wife ... definitely will look deeply into these 2 bikes.

So customisable ... fantastic!

I did an oil change on monday, was quite shock to see the oil so dirty. The oil is about 1000km old, the oil looks different. Maybe without oil filter, the dirt gets into the oil instead of being trapped in the filter. I am also not comfortable with the air filter element. It is not providing a good seal so air is not really filtered, dirty air getting into the combustion chamber .. sigh ..

Where to get pod filter that will fit into the existing air box? Anyone know where to buy BMC or Unifilter?

I am also keen to explore a gear-up kit. Either Polini or Malossi or whatever brand .. the engine sounds really really busy at 110 - 120 km/h ..the kit would keep the engine revs down a bit .. anyone know price and where to get?

Thanks!

majesty engine was know to be billet proof. however in singapore i have seen a few wif engine problem. i wonder is it becos singaporean tend to treat it like bike change the engine oil at around 5k km for sytectic oil. and ignore the oil like which indicate also the time to change engine oil. from the previous owner of my scoot. he say when the light on just check oil level if the oil level is not low. he will reset it and wait for the next light up to change the engine oil.. i did tat too

after the sec light up i check the oil level and found tat it was low, when to change bike shop then i discover the amount of oil drained out was like less then a can of coke. few month later i discover the engine do consumpt engine oil. therefore i change the piston ring. also the piston and also the valve....

i also spoke to some malaysian cub rider , to my surprise he change engine oil every 1k km. i guess for me since yp250 has no oil filter, it could be the reason the oil change light lighted up so soon compare to bike. so now when ever the light is on i will change it.

I really need to replace my air filter.. ain't doin a good job .. i drained my oil again after about 500km .. it's black and murky .. like kopitiam kopi-o kao kao .... dirty air ..sigh ..

Will go to Motoworld looksee ..

One of the good thing about auto scoot is the absence of the clutch within the engine housing (like motorcycle) .. so basically use any oil also can :) .. not just those motorcycle specific .. use common and good car oil (it is like a car engine- pistons and cranksahft only) and replace every 1000 km ... oil is really the bloodline of the engine, not enough in there and not just the valves and piston gets affected, the stator coil needs the oil to keep it cool from overheating as it generates ac current to the rectifier/regulator.. oil is definitely cheaper than an engine strip down.

Just my opinions ..:)

At least the colour of the oil tells you it's doing it's job properly... trapping all the dirty stuff!

What oil are you using currently? 500km seems a bit extreme.... last time my Phantom also no oil filter, but not so bad.
