sorry... just some advise..

every 10k change eo right?

then how many months change plug?

oil filter?

then front and rear wheel... need to pump weekly?? and how many psi??

:cheeky:

my way.

- 5000Km A change of E.O

- an interval of E.O change, changed oil filter

- Sparkplugs ,No need always change.

Welcome to SBF Fazer !:thumb:

Just to add, do read the manual (under the seat) for the FZ6. There's page regarding the maintanence of the fazer at given mileage.

Plugs - +/- 20, 000 km requires change

-+/- 10, 000 km requires checking whether its still fine

For me I pump front 250, rear 290 psi. Thats the recommended max air to squeeze in. More infomation can be found on the sticker on your left swingarm. No need so kiasu pump weekly. Once a month do pump the air. The air would not escape easily unless u have a leak tyre.

hi all, i just sold off my cbr1k and thinking of getting a fazer6. But still thinking of whether to get the S or N version. reason is because i also travel up north and during my cbr days, i'm use to taking cover behind my windshield while travelling on NSH. I really like the naked version of it but was afraid of the wind blast and on the other hand, i saw the S version with custom made side fairings (I assume) and it looks awesome..

Hope to get some really cool advice from experience fazer riders. Thank you all.

Yo bro NouserName,if you like the naked 6 very much, you might as well go for it coz there's aftermarket windscreens available from Motoworld/Regina etc...

Yamaha TZM 150

Suzuki DRZ 400

Honda CB 400

Yamaha FZ 1

Yamaha TDM 900

Triumph Tiger 800

Smoother than a twin and more characterful than a four and not forgetting that lovely whistly fruity soundtrack:thumb:

IMO no matter what windscreen is made for a N/naked bike, it can never offer wind protection like a semi-faired bike.

Plus, the bigger the windscreen mounted on the handlebar/headlight assembly of a naked bike, the more it acts like a deflector or sail and your handlebars will vibrate.

If you're into touring, get the S. Period.

The N is good for city riding or just a short blast up North.

are you referring to yatz side fairing? those are authentic oem side fairings... we all presumed and presuming it's 1 and only 1 now... :D

fz6n windscreens can nvr block u from wind blast... unless ur head is v de small... :D

If you compare a FZ1 to a full on superbike, of course it will lose out in terms of power, weight and handling.

You just have to remind yourself that the FZ1 is easier to live with. It's more relaxed to ride, the suspension is more comfortably set up for road riding, it's better to use on long hauls.

But let me tell you hor... for running costs, maintenance and fuel consumption still the same ah. Insurance is a little cheaper though.

Compromise, compromise. You win some, you lose some.

Just realised there are 2 sub-forum/threads for fazer... :\

Anyway guys,

For the Gen 1 FZS1000, is there any powercut or limiter? I was going 190km and maybe approaching 7000-8000RPM when the engine is acting like on/off. Feels like a limiter, but speed is 190.

Please advise.

Thanks!
