im not riding a s4, but when im riding i hear squeeking sounds behind too, its my chain, after i oil the chain, sound doesn't come that often, but still comes, not sure if i change to a new chain, the sound will come back.

I experienced this once and I believe it's probably because the chain is too dry. :goodluck:

Biking is something that everyone can learn and enjoy! :goodluck:

thanks guys ! was wondering why coz i just lube my chain few days back and the squeaking sound came. guess not enough.. anyway.. anyone got this knocking sound when your bike is running at around 4rpm at 40-60kph ? i think the sound come from my chain.. but can't confirm leh..

dun think wheel bearing will sound squeaky, coz a worn bearing will usually cause a grinding sound not squeaking sound

Check the front where your hydraulic brake hoses and speedometer cable (non-vtec) runs near the front fender..cable could be touching the fender. Good luck.

ah pek. any idea how much does that costs ?

Cost?...I'm saying the brake hoses may be rubbing against your fender or fork.

hello... i tighten my chain but got roller/shaft kind of sound... is it the chain or tighten not correct? i lube the chain also still got sound...

A little to tight or out of mark aligment. Sometime..same mark both side can oso happened. Make sure you give the wheel a kick and that both the tension sits in. Its ok to ahve the chain tension a little looser as long as it don't hit the swing arm. When its down well..totally no chain roll noise even.

The back of you back tyre..it would move your wheel forward but make sure the main back axle is loose and so are the two back wheel adjuster. Also take note that the wheel can angle (tilted)slightly..check your reference mark for both side after this...you may find that the marks are out of alignment..this is when you adjust to correct. If you bike have a main stand (double), the job is easier.

The sound you hear is near the primary gear. The chain is too tight for your weight etc..normally a good mech will tell you to sit on your bike while he adjust the chain. It may look loose..but when you sit on your bike...it can get exremely tight...worst if you tong_pang. Very common problem lah..no faulty components involve.

Matching markers are very important...otherwise..the inner roller bearing of the chain can kenna makan one side...that time chain damage so are the sprockets.
