i believe all have different opinion in installing the voltmeter...

i'm not a pro or guru

here are advices which i can provide...

-buying of VM.

can be at anywhere. and basically, VM are meant more for cars. VM are not water proof. so it makes them not as lasting as installed in cars... i bought my VM from LAB and self installed it.

-wiring matters.

if you get a brand new Autoguage VM, there are 3 wires, orange, black and red. do look care fully on the instruction manual that came along with the VM. the red and orange wire suppose to go to 12volts supply and the black goes to ground. do not forget also that there are also 2 metal parts at the back of the VM which you also need to connect to 12 volts and ground too. seems a bit confusing, but if you refer to the instructions manual carefullly, things will not go wrong.

if you go to bike shops or LAB to buy and install, most of the time they'll jus install it to your headlight low beam supply. this way can work too but it will not be that accurate.

i personally installed my VM to the ignition supply, where this supply comes from the 30amp fuse after the ignition when the key is turned to "on". i think this is the most accurate. (any pros to comment on this)

-whats the use of VM?

though the reading of VM is not so accurate due to our bike's vibration and flunctuation, an observation of a sudden voltage over our daily riding can seems to be a charging fault in either a faulty battery, or coil or rectifier problem. if such phenomenom is observed, do send your bike to workshop for an FOC inspection by your bike shop.

-installing of volt meter.

guys, if you all are interested in allowing me to install your VM, pls sms me. but i can only help you guys to install during my free time. i have a packed schedule of my full time and part time job. so pls bear with it.

p.s. - dun ask me how much i charge, cos i dun charge ppl for installing VMs. i am doing it for the sake of hobby and passion of s4 bikes. you guys can ask exterqila. i help him to install his VM.

go try to and DIY install your VM yourself first, and if really cant, im always around the forum to help you.

the above are my 2 cents knowledge. hope it helps you guys...

Yeah, according to voltage divider rules, as long the current path is not shared, the accuracy will be there. :thumb:

maybe if u disclose where u got ur stickers, it would just simply solve this issue.

 

Think no one likes the idea of paying and collecting something which was meant as a freebie.

 

Just imagine going to a mobilephone shop and buy ear piece, later u go home then found... FREE GIFT, NOT FOR SALE. Think u would feel like a jackarse too.

K guys. Peace to all. Just Let the matter rest. If he noes his right he will stand up for his rights! If he noes his wrong he will feel guilty to whom bought the stickers from him (me too!)! So its ok. A person pride will be judge by him not from us. Coz we dnt noe its true or not. Only god noe! Therefore just let him think whether his right or wrong.
