Never register for convoy can still follow convoy? LOL!

Those who never registered for the convoy CAN NOT join. If anyone attempts to join will be escorted out by the Marshals.

Hope this answers your question.

Cheers.

Well some maybe just got to know about the event and cant register anymore? Im asking not for myself but for the benefit of those who really missed out coz of the closing date. Though this is a National Event, not all bikers have internet or are as well informed as us, but they are still bikers in SG who wanna be a part of this event.

I got no intention to join or follow the convoy either. None of my posts states anything like that either. Just a casual question, why so serious? can buy bike over 4 or 5 digits worth of dollars cant afford $20? i dun tink so bah... Even if its really the case where they didnt want to pay but want to join in, i dun tink its nice to just brand them "cheapos" becoz of this. We're all still bikers after all, why these hurtful words? Arent we all "cheapos" at times also, like why choose 95/98 fuel instead of V-power when its only $0.10-$0.20 more per litre? or go all the way to JB to top up fuel? Times are bad, gotta understand...

Main point is: Those who failed to register in time or due to other reasons, can still FOLLOW the covoy BEHIND after they move off? hope this is clear enuff to understand my query.

- wow. Frm e way u replied, sounds like u own e rd in sg. Isnt there a better phrase or word 2 reply?

- e rd is not closed during e convoy. After e convoy had moved off, those vehicles travelling behind r considered 'cheapos'? Mayb u r rich interms of weath, but definitely u r poor in mentality.

- i totally agree with u.

- frm 1st post, its jus a casual discussion, yet some ppl think they r e 'big shots', condenm others without knowing e actual facts.

- 'follow behind' after e convoy moved off becum 'join e convoy w/o registration'? Then, i wld say some ppl r stupid or gundo, primary sch english olso dunoe how 2 read.

- 4get abt e earlier post dat may spoilt e mood 4 e 'big event'.

You can send a proper request to organizers and they will reply to you. You could make it clear on your first post stating that is there any chance for late comers to register?

Is that simple.

This threat is refering to an event that never attemted in Singapore. This is the very first time that Authorities are involved. Hence a level of seriousness is required.

Let me put it this way to you. I do NOT own the road and I can NOT stop anyone following. However this is an event that has rules and regulations. You want to join the covoy there is a fee to pay and and form to be signed and sumbited.

I have failed to see where in my previous message there is an indication that I own the road. I also failed to see where my financial status is mentioned.

If someone can not afford the $20, then can approach the organizers and let them decide.

Those vehicles traveling behind us are not "cheapos" but road users. Those how following the convoy intentionaly because they want to play smart and are not paying, then they ARE "cheapos".

Do you have the slightest idea what is the organizers responsibility for those joining the convoy? Are you aware of the legal implications if someone join the convoy without signing the form meet an accident?

Are you?

Lucky draw starts what time huh?

NBW 2008 Lucky draw will be conducted every half hourly after the National Motorcycle Convoy. As for SBF Anniversary 2008 Lucky draw, it will be on 29 Nov 5.30pm at the Singapore Flyer Greek Theatre.

foxie77,

DO NOT get the intention wrong and there is no road closure. The Event Organiser requires the participants of the National Motorcycle Convoy 2008 to be registered in order to cater for planning and executions of the Convoy riding. Non-registered participants are not part of the convoy simply because the Organiser cannot be responsible for those not in the participation list.

The NBW Marshals had practised and trained for this convoy to ensure the participants enjoy the convoy ride. Anyone after the Sweepers from the Gold Winger are other road user you see daily OTR.

As for getting yourself registered, over here at SBF I've gotta to close the registeration and had already submitted the registration to the Organiser as a forum effort. I do not have any other bandwidth to be catering to new signup simply because I'm already at the SIngapore Flyers ground to get ready for the opening on 28 Nov. For those still interested, do visit www.nbw.com.sg and click under the registration tab to try to register.

Best regards

Andrew

Let mi put it dis way 2 u.

i olso dun wana b e 'cheapos' u mentioned.

i olso cant stop u frm calling ppl 'cheapos'.

i olso cant restrict e way u reply.

Got dis kind of real 'cheapos' meh? Really cant imagine they exist. Its really kind of u 2 remind dat there r such 'ppl' around.

Organizers of any events definitely got their responsibilty 2 bear.

Participants olso hav their own role 2 play olso.

But organizers canot bear all responsibilty in e event of mishap or accident. Dat is y e Indemnity Form cums in2 view.

i belief many ppl noe dat.

i dun hav e slightest idea on e organizers' responsibilty.

u wana explain e details? Ohh, its gd & additional knowledge for those who dun noe. But i'm not interested in knowing.

u trying 2 say u got big responsibilty s being part of e convoy or organizing committee? Ohh, u sounded under-pressure. But i canot help u.

R u?

:cheeky:

guys guys guys I am just asking whether we can follow the convoy anot, dun quarrel already la omg... who dare to admit they had never been a "cheapo" in their whole life before? No point arguing about who are the cheapos and who are not the cheapos. Just let this event be a happy one and stop bad-mouthing people, isnt that better? Lets look at things here more positively, 1 more day!!!! ^^

See you guys at NBW =X
