ok, i think quite a number of our drivers are suffering from night blindness, must install superbright HID lamps.

but, is there a need for FOUR HID lamps on one car??? last night while sitting at a bus stop, there was a car fitted with that many lamps turned into the junction, with high beam summore, and shone straight into me! made me feel dazed. cant imagine how it will be like if it is reflected from my bike's mirror. :giddy:

This is really, really overdoing it. is there any regulations for this? feel like calling the TP to fine the idiot.

Perhaps u could fix two at ur highbeam side. Anyone experience installing two HIDs before at the high beam side?

actually i did use my hands to form a shade around my eyes, but think i saw the driver wasn't too please with me, damn idiot. want to smash the lamps also cannot, cos he is driving away.

but really too much, cos he put 2 HID lamps on each side, one on top of each other, and turn them on full blast.

suggest guys, shld really write a report to TP. Because its very dangerous for rider, we already get blind by their white light, if we wants to change lane or something we check B/S we stil can see clearly because its too bright. why is that 9 out of 10 cars hv a HID light? they think its nice, cool or something? think its rather childish. Really hope the enforcer can do something about it real soon to avoid innocent lives being taken away! tks a million!

ok la, not really alot of car with HID unless u always go chiong on weekend. THEN of coz u will meet more cars with HID lamp than usual. i agree thats it's a horror when a car/bike is mod with a super 10k bulb , but as for oem type i got nothing to say since LTA said is "approved"

Bikes also now fix HID.. More glare then cars since bikes headlamp usually higher... If u drive u would know how dangerous the glare can be... not only u cant see other cars/bikes behind, you cant judge the speed on the cars/bike that shines HID at your mirror...

OEM HID normally wont glare so much, cos the use projector lens, got a good cut off.. Normal lens will scatter the light to much causing glare...

Newer cars have auto levelling HID lens.. People usually dont know, but when u carry pillion or passenger, the extra rear weight will point the headlight slightly higher causing too much glare.. Even with projector lens it will still point upwards slightly and cause glare...

Hence why LTA require newer cars dat comes with original HID to have auto levelling headlamps...

Some mistaken LTA site as saying HID is legal for bikes and cars now... It is not road legal to retro fit HID even if u fit with projector lens... Its not road legal in US to retrofit HID, unless ur bike/car come with HID

I fail to see the need to turn on HID in a City where almost every inch of the road is lighted. I further fail to understand why so many drivers like to drive with their high beam when it is totally unnecessary.

Fixing HID is one thing and exercise consideration for others is another thing...

Many just wanted the bling factor of having HID....

Multi reflector are not suitable for HID...But some car comes with it as well ...latest Civic....

But HID light advancement is really suitable for those who frequent NSH and very dark roads in MY...I myself fixed on my high beam...Wicked light throw that really do wonders during your night riding....

Fortunately my bike are fitted with projectors.....

For fog lights wise..I see no problems as they are located well below the car...

Well I would if wanted to install...Exercise consideration....Sg rds we dont even need very good light as the purpose is only identify yourself as a vehicle OTR.

... and where some drivers can even drive around at night without headlights on... :dozed:

HID is just a bling factor for local roads... and many a times, how I wish I have HID lamps fixed on my bike so that I can slow down, ride behind the bugger and blast the HID back at em to let em have a taste of their own medicine...

with HID they cant estimate the speed so wont anyhow come out iof lane

My car headlights are OEM self-levelling HIDs, no glare at all and a very well defined beam cut-off.

It's not about HID, it's about using HIDs in housings that aren't meant to take HIDs. Even before aftermarket HID kits were widely available, people were into "white light" bulbs. The problem is they never adjust the damn beams. All they want is bright, lots of quantity but no quality.

Yes i hav notice recently there has been a increase in No. of driver driving wif out headllights on even as late as 10pm+.. i hav tried a few times tryin to hint/handsignal those C*ck/Blur driver be it a He/She. Some responded but many fails to as it seems to me tht they had their eye focus jus right straight ahead n rather not aware of whts on going ard them (these are e driver tht i find them post a even more danger to themselve n other road user)

However something tht catches my attention tht could it be e new make n model of certain cars takin for eg like e Merc Benz or Subaru Legacy tht it seems to me tht e intrusmental dail n indicator does lights up automatically jus b4 or after e iginition is turn on or so.. unlike e conventional way of turnin on e light indicator.. so tht came to my thought could tht feature of it tht mislead most driver tht they had their headlight on wif out payin much attention to it as some mention SG road are well light up.

Heres a clips

Having HID install on cars or bike are basically either for e Bling Factor or they chose to a better light to brighten up their journey of ride to see better far ahead..

HID light throw is way better than e Halogen hence under normal circumstance it will blind e opp party therefore proper Focusing of wif e HID done up is best advice to so as to ensure it will not blind e opp on coming party however it seems tht most outside aftermarket dealer tht provides e HID services doesn't provides e focusing service or either way they hav no idea to it......

Do correct me if i am wrong on any of e facts mention..

Cheers n regards

i think alot of drivers, no matter they can see cannot see, can estimate or cannot estimate.. they will still change lanes without checking their blindspots..
