if you don't have any bikeshop in mind, then you can go Planet. at least you confirm won't get chopped. anyway, change sprocket/chain is easy job, any bikeshop can do it.. jus you need to monitor them when changing.. Unique Motor also another trustworthy shop.

 

i changed my sprocket and chain at Planet. Cost me around $110+ (can't remember exact how much) it's standard DID O ring Chain and sprocket though..

 

I not sure how much Unique Motor charge.. you can send post on their thread to inquiry.

 

PS: I not sure about clutchplate price, but you can ask Planet Ah Chong or Unique Kelvin.. and compare..

yap dun pull yr trottle too much ..before u change chain and sprocket ..

if u risng sp dun go above 100 ..

but change a better chain le what yen say

though its more expensive but can last at least 2 years plus if taken care,,

i would not suggest anione push-starting a bike down slope btw

 

that was the dummest thing we have did in our entire life

 

push start need some training in it..

 

my 1st attempt almost fall from the slope..

tot tat the bike start alr den move off.. but it isnt..

 

if u want push sart downa slope try to engage 2nd gear to push..

at least when it start and u rev.. u wont have a wheelie..

good and nice.. changed for half a year alr.. still new and strong..

the sound is from the pipe? valve? engine?

 

sound is heard during stationary rev at which rpm?

first DIY job when getting a bike is "oil the chain". Make sure you oil the bike chain regularly then it won't give you too much problem..

 

Probably you can oil the chain properly then you can still "tong" for awhile while you save up.. but remember to change ASAP. I read before a rider got sprocket snapped, then the chain hit other part of the bike, and spoilt the part as well.. he almost accident because of that also.. (he needs to pay for tow truck to, and end up paying more than changing sprocket and chain)

 

sprocket and chain is one of the cheapest part to change for a bike liao lei..

But personally i think in the market, there are more problematic TZM than SP . TZM so many inside got problem one. like valve. yah

last time at jb , a certain shop and place also tell me engine bearing prob

but now 5 years le.. still like that /

since your chain already old, can use engine oil lor (use new engine oil). But if new chain, better use Chain Lube. I bought Putoil (can really remember the name)from Ah Boy and Maxima from Planet. Putoil cheap cheap around 10 or 12 bucks. Maxima around 25 or 28 bucks..

 

jus spray the whole chain.. (remember to warm up the bike before you oil them) for more info on how to oil chain--> Goooooooooooogle (too complicated to explain:p)

Okay. Oil the chain! Oil-ed ytr , haha. Anw, do anyone got any idea how long does a heavy duty,DID X-Ring,DID O-Ring chain can last? And can engine oil be reuse cause changing clutch plate the EO need to take out but my EO just changed less than 2wks. D:

 

PS- Some people change it to 428hub, pricing same?
