just to side track abit from MP3...to related 3-wheeler industry.

 

just read the chinese papers today, Carver one, which is the bike featured in the video in the link Daniel provided...is coming to Singapore. Mah Pte is likely to be the distributor.

 

I read on...seems LTA classified this under car's category. The price is about $40,000.

 

Hi Brembo, looks like Carver one will be a difficult sell in Singapore as about the same dimensions as a Japanese Kei-Car. Weight is better at 650kg but power output is limited to 63bhp which is the same as Mitsubishi i. Lastly on the website they mentioned heating and blower but no Air-con!! How to survive? Fuel economy also about the same as Jazz, K-Car. Only good thing is 0-100 about 8 sec. I wonder whats the OMV.

 

PS I think they got the wheels on backwards. Then it will be MP3 with shelter and aircon.

I've checked that the 250 gg for $12800 and 400 gg for $13800... 1K difference. Any others got better pricing?

Hi guys, as most of the existing owners of the mp3 are not first bike owners. There can be comparisons done between "normal" rides and the mp3.

 

There should be a wealth of experience and opinions on how the extra wheel has helped in terms of stability, grip, braking distance and fun/confidence. Maybe you guys can share your real world experiences on the above.

 

As the price premium over a normal scooter is fairly large for the lower cc range.......some people like me need the extra convincing .

Do not worry about the warranty, as long as the pipes are installed correctly by a good mechanic, there shouldnt be any problems.

Guys, I'm interested in getting the 500cc version (Gilera fuoco). Anyone know if this has landed in s'pore yet? Some reviews of the MP3 250 report that it is lacking in acceleration and struggles up steep hills.

 

Larger engine sometimes does not necessarily translate into worse FC as engine doesn't have to spin at high revs and work so hard - may also help engine life.

 

Does the handbrake lock when the ignition is off? Don't want some moron releasing it when I'm parked on incline.

 

May wait a bit and see where this technology goes. Can't see why they can't make the suspension lock automatically when you come to a stop / slow under 5km/h. Then can safely leave feet up without worrying about pressing lock button everytime you stop.

When you lock the handlebars, the handbrake is locked.

Cos then the suspension may lock when you're not upright.
