Aprila RSV4 2009

The RSV4 will make its debut in the 2009 Superbike World Championship. With four cylinders, 999 cc and top of the class power in the race-ready version, this revolutionary machine is packed with innovative design and manufacturing solutions of the sort we have come to expect from Aprilia. A V-four engine with total electronic management, and an exceptionally light and compact chassis are just some of the features that make this bike unique in the world of motorcycling. The revolutionary design of the Aprilia RSV4 comes directly from Europe’s biggest and most successful racing team.

Yamaha R1 2009

The new-generation YZF-R1 is more closely linked to our MotoGP winning M1 than ever before. For 2009 this legendary motorcycle is equipped with an all-new 998cc inline four-cylinder engine with a crossplane crankshaft that runs with an uneven firing interval of 270º - 180º - 90º - 180º. This innovative new design ensures superb throttle linearity, giving a feeling that the rider’s throttle hand is directly connected to the rear tyre. The new engine feels and sounds smoother than ever, and emits an unforgettable growl from the exhaust. Pushing out 182 PS at 12,500 rpm with 115.5 Nm of torque at 10,000 rpm, this MotoGP-inspired engine is without a doubt the most technologically advanced powerplant ever seen on a Yamaha supersport bike. And for the ultimate in feel and controllability, the new-generation R1 runs with an all-new Deltabox chassis offering an idealized rigidity balance.

CBR1000 2009

The 2009 Honda CBR1000RR ABS and non ABS equipped models have just been unveiled. The addition of Honda Combined ABS adds 11kg to the kerb weight (the standard model weighs 199kg), a continuation of the front fairing to cover the front power unit and a bulge in the black underseat cowl to house the systems ECU. The non-ABS model is largely unchanged mechanically, but, in the UK at least, it gets new colors, including an awesome tricolor HRC scheme while the Repsol replica is available on either bike. Additionally, the engine is now painted matte black. You’ll be able to tell the bikes apart because the ABS model uses bronze-painted calipers, while the standard version’s are black.

CBR600 2009

600 features a reworked engine and exhaust system that produces improved torque from 8,000 rpm to 12,000 rpm, a fairing that offers more stability and reduced wind noise, and best-in-class curb weight. The new 600 also wears some wild paint schemes

Suzuki 1000 2009

The 2009 Suzuki GSX-R1000 is here and its lighter, shorter, more powerful and faster than ever. 191bhp, 87lb/ft, 167kg

Kawazaki ZX6 600 2009

The new 2009 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R has been updated to look just like its bigger brother, the ZX-10R. Aside from the new looks and 10kg (20lb) lopped off the weight, the headline feature is the first use of Showa’s Big Piston Front fork technology. Eliminating most of the internals associated with traditional cartridge forks, the BPF is simpler and lighter while providing better feedback and smoother action.

Kawasaki ZX10R 1000cc 2009

The 2009 Kawasaki ZX-10R receives no major mechanical updates, but does get this really cool green, white and black color scheme. Its blocky scheme breaks up the ZX-10R’s ugly fairing, making it visually lighter while deemphasizing the degree to which the horrible exhaust pops out. There’s also a less successful bronze version, which just looks boring, while the lucky Europeans get a really cool all-white model.

Ducati 1198 2009

A company insider has exclusively revealed to us that Ducati will be upping the 1098’s capacity to 1198cc for 2009. In keeping with the 1200cc World Superbike v-twin capacity limit, the Ducati 1098R already displaces 1198cc, so we expect to see a version of its engine used in the 2009 Ducati 1198, but in a lower state of tune and using less exotic parts. An educated guess would put the 1198’s power output halfway between the 1098’s 160bhp and the 1098R’s 180bhp. There’s no word on the 1098R’s performance-oriented traction control trickling down to lesser models. But that’s not all Ducati has in store for 2009.

Yamaha R6 2009

The Yamaha YZF-R6 is packed with advanced engine and chassis technology from our World Championship race programmes, allowing you to take your riding excitement to the next level. What makes the R6 so special is that it is designed to enhance the man-machine connection, enabling you to exploit your riding skills to the full. As you would expect from one of the most advanced 600 supersport bikes, the R6 comes with the very latest track-developed electronics. Our YCC-T chip-controlled ‘fly-by-wire’ throttle delivers the ultimate acceleration, while Yamaha’s unique YCC-I electronically-controlled variable intake funnels make for higher levels of power and stronger torque. The race-developed Deltabox chassis ensures razor-sharp handling on the road and track – and the radical aerodynamic bodywork benefits from a low frontal area for awesome acceleration and top end speed.

We gotta look at the real thing....

The CBR1k was not selling very well in USA...

No doubt...It got handling...And good mid range but that's about it..

R1 was excel in looks department...we can only look at the real thing before concluding anything..

basically, majority of SG riders would go for looks in priority.... i'm not saying that certain bikes is not good or certain bikes are better, but thats the main thing that singaporeans would decide before buying...

take r6 for example.... its evrywhere, & ive known 3 peeps who sold them due to bad posture :giddy: got to admit the r6 is 1 of the most beautiful sportsbike around tho...

If I were to pick one of them for my next ride, it would be the MV followed by the Duke then the Gixxer. Ah who am I kidding, realistically it would have to be the Gixxer.

I used to be a car person. Then one day, I woke up and became a biker.

Ex rides:

Nissan Sunny 1.6

Nissan Cefiro 2.0

Honda CBR 150 R

Honda CBR 400 RR Fireblade

Current rides:

Yamaha 2008 YZF-R1

KIA Cerato Forte 1.6 Well OK sometimes a car comes in handy.

Fizzo69- the Gsx HP is always higher than agusta and ducatis - somehow the italian bike horsepower lost to japanese designs. However italian bike forcus more on track handling i guess. ^^
