er..guys. Pls use PM for this kinda short-ended one sentence chats thru and fro.

This is not Alamak leh.

You guys will understand when a RVFian newbie needs to comb thru pages & pages of mindless chatting lookin for the impt info he wants. It can be frustrating.

So lez all spare some tots and try to keep chattering to a minimal?

ur can install in motor shop.... v cheap only......

okie tks guys..im finding a rvf tml.. meanwhile getting all the stuff done first. :)

btw

i found this ...

hi rvf guys!

i heard that if u install an on/off switch for yr headlights, it will cause damage on the rectifier. is it true?

thanks!

this is true becos, most of the shops they just connect the wire of the switch directly to the power supply of the bike, but this is all so WRONG!~!~

the power is too high for the switch to coop with.

so the switch must have a relay connected to the power supply. which will only disconnect the headlights but will leave the rest of ur lights intact.

so when TP from the back see u, ur tail lights is still lights up n so is ur 2 side lights.but the headlights take up most of the power. sure must install switch 1.

1 best place i can recommend is K&T, they got put relay. so wont spoil. below $20. well done job.

or u like to be like the new bikes which got all the function that can even off all the lights including the 2 side lights. the switch is about $120. must buy original hor.

anything more on RVF can go to the RVF thread to find us.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
juz diging old threads... how many of u install relays ? so i sud tell the mechanic.. every electronic device i install sud have a relay before connecting to main batt ? eg headlight switch,voltmeter,alarm etc ? pls help~~
i did my headlight switch with no relay 1yr ago, until now still working fine.. My voltmeter installed 8 months ago, now still working sweet.. Installed a neon light 2 month ago myself, now still lighting bright.. So far i know relay is needed if u doing the high/low beam mod to solve the melting of the switch button problem.. :smile:
Hi guys, I am proposing that perhaps all of us who ride Honda bikes with a V4 engine, whether it be a NC30,NC35,RC46 etc..could form a
"Force V4" club. We can organise regular meetups for DIY sessions, wash and service, plus share tips on parts, mods and riding improvement. For the bigger Sports Tourer brothers in the VFR800s, we should include them too as the V4 engine is a complex engine to service
In time, I indent to set up my little own home workshop complete with enough tools to do minor DIY and repairs at home. I have a bit of space in my apartment carpark lot as its mainly empty and undisturbed and very near town. (Behind Tanglin Mall actually) so in future who want to gather for wash and minor maintenence can join me.
Now, back to "Force V4" club, I am also a member of the Japanese club
below.
http://www.tokyo-info.net/forcev4/
If you look in Whats New, you can see my name on the list.
I can read and converse in Japanese (Tachi is my real name BTW) and will communicate with these enthusiasts in Japan for info and tips. Plus, I have authorisation to gather a group who will be a sort of 'Singapore branch' or member of "Force V4" Japan.
So wadda you guys say??
Taking from Ghostrider's lead, let's have our first meetup as the first members of "FORCE V4 SINGAPORE". If you ride or know anyone who rides the following Honda bikes, please encourage them to gather. This club will be a meeting point for all riders who own V4 Hondas or are interested in V4 Hondas. We can pool our resources together for things like ordering parts, maintenence and service issues, plan organized trips, informal meetups and encourage safe riding. For those interested in tuning and track days, I can also organize it in the future.
But for now, I hope we can make the RVF/VFR group into something more formal and form a closeknit unit of Honda V4 enthusiasts. Other Honda bikes are also welcome to join but the focus will be primarily on V4s.
NC13 - VF400F
NC21 - VFR400R,Z,K
NC24 - VFR400R
NC30 - VFR400R
NC35 - RVF400RR,RT
