Normally the cheapest bikes will end up costing you the most in repairs!

I think you should consider Total Cost of ownership in your calculations not just buy price.

Cheapest 2b scramblers are ?

For transport use, it has to be DR200. Very good engine, with electric start. Cheap to run, and definitely one of the most reliable bike around.

since when dr200 was known for its top s peed?

its known to be a reliable workhouse and good fuel consumption.

demon,what's the otr for a dr200?top speed?

you can definitely hit 100kph, any speed higher will depend on the road gradient...haaa. The best part of a DR200 is that it can cruise at 80kph all day without a complaint.

DR200 is a scrambler but not a dirt-bike. Pay a little more, you can get a XR200, equally reliable and you get more fun off-road, but not as comfortable as a DR200 on paved road.

If money is no issue, get a KTM 200 EXC for pure off-road fantasy, otherwise a Vara125 for paved road cruising in comfort and in style.

Sorry, not current with DR200 OTR price.

Look for the most common parts like disc brake's disc . Is it worn out or wat so ever things . All the metal plates ie like rear brake hose guard . If u see any part u not sure missing ask the shop uncle . Also any oil leakage on the fork or the engine part , like u see some oil stain on the engine , ask the uncle again . Air fliter oso a must hav . Must take out the side board on the left hand side of the WR2 and u can see it . If u see a empty hole means dun hav , then must find uncle again

Anything not sure just ask uncle hehe.....:goodluck:

Cheapest scrambler for mainly transport I could think of is a second hander Suzuki DR200.

That's a workhorse with no frills in it.

Cheapest scrambler for transport and half offroad I could think of is a second hand Yamaha WR200.

That's a bike that could do two terrains without causing much heartaches in your pocket.

Lookwise, the WR200 is much of a fiercer scrambler.

Performancewise, a 200 2-stroke will be a better thrust ride in offroad.

Petrol consumption wise, the DR200 doesn't seem to be running on petrol. It just doesnt run out of it!
