bro, gsx400F is not our model.. F is an old model way back in the 80s or so.

There is one in Hong Nan @ Lavender Rd. Personally, I feel that they sell it quite ex. COE till Jan 08 selling @3K+(neg). U may refer to the classified sect where they have posted an ad there.

morning guys. Jus back from malacca. A short half day trip on Sat.

 

Reach 2nd link at 315pm. Was jam with malaysian bikes! My fren who is infront told me, he reached at 305pm, within a few mins, all the bunch of malaysian bikers came... Seems like they all hiding in bushes and appear after 310pm or so.

 

I was lucky, still within the bend of the highway. After 3mins or so, the q was all the way after the bend... Moral of the story, dun go Malaysia after 3pm on sat. If wan, go at 2pm or so.

 

140-160km on the NSH. Some parts of it at 170km. Quite stable compared to the last trip, as I did not realised I have a choked air filter and weak suspension. Now with the items repaired/replaced. Shiok cruising at 160km. Did not go more than 170 as my gf behind me.

 

Makan at a Banonya restro, recommeded by one of my kakis. Noted the newspaper clips on the wall.. humm.. Good food! Great price! Had fish, chicken, soup, kang gong, omelette, squid.... Less than RM20 per person! hahahha.

 

After that, went shopping at chinatown, and had some drinks there. I had tea while some of them had one beer only(know ur own limit please). Reach singapore ard 1am+

 

Fuel economy, normal street hard riding is 19-20km/L. Down to 14-16km/L when higher speed.

My Impulse did hit 190 before (on the meter), but had to go into a full tuck, without pillion or box.

 

But I usually cruise on the NSH at around 110-120 anyways, save petrol Can get around 22km/litre doing this speed, so full tank can reach KL.

Impulse is a water cooled or oil cooled bike? According to spec, it stated oil cooled. But from my observation, it doesn't look like!

 

Next, do anyone encounter electrical problem on this bike? From what I know, those suzuki bikes b4 Y2k will have electrical problem after couple of yrs usage.

Its water cooled.

 

The only electrical problem I enountered was a burnt rectifier caused by a dying battery. So if I had changed the battery earlier, the rectifier would have survived

just now cleaning my room i found that i still have a radiator cover for impulse .

i made it myself so its consider custom ? who wan can pm me . pls be considerate and self collect cos i'm giving it away free. if nobody wants i'm going to thorw away .

btw anyone try fitting a 160/60 rear tyre to an impulse ?

size 140/70 or 150/70 very hard to find a good one .

168km... try Dunlop GPR70? they have in 140-150. Try not to fit a 160 into our 140 rims.

Finally got my RPM meter fixed after so long!

 

Anyone knows what is the idling RPM is?

As long as it idles smoothly, and you can "creep" the bike in 1st gear without trottling, then it should be fine.

icic, before my meter got fixed, I use "ah-ga-ration", hear liao then tune until it "sounds" right

 

Turn out, it is also idling at 1k
