Hi guys, recently bought my bone from HQ CKA. just wanna ask, do you guys have problems riding in light or heavy rain or after rain? was told that coz my bike has k&n filter, it will have problems riding in the rain. ytd, rode out after rain stopped, after riding like 10 mins, my engine power cuts and i can't throttle above 20-30km/h. if i throttle above that, my engine stalls. any alternatives i can look into to solve this problem? senior bros, will really appreciate any advise can give me. THANKS!

Change back to stock air box. Solve the stalling in rain problem. How often does it rain in Singapore? That's how often it'll stall.

Either u use a Meiji milk bottle or 1.5L or 500ml water bottle cut into half and modified urself to use it as a cover to cover ur k & n while riding else u will forever face this issue. In-short ur carburator is drinking water and petrol at the same time.

Yup. A plastic bottle on the side of your bike will work too.

I also have this problem when I'm caught in the rain!! Able to share how is the bottle gonna fit into the air filter bro? Kinda not understand leh...

Bear in mind this is a sample oni.

Due to the rain condition is SG it wont work that well . U need to improvish it urself.

I think the motorshop ppl will hate me too much leh hahaa I spoilt their market.

Kindly note

U need to improvise it yourself.

If u want u can DIY urself else asking ppl/motor tiam DIY for you = $$$. (My 2 cents)

Kindly note there is no 100% better DIY cover than the stock filter box !!!

Even I dont have the confident to 100% help u guys.

when it comes to DIY (need RND) U need to test it ourself = Lab Rat.

Mine after market filter (Mine is a foam XXX Brand filter )is inside my stock filter box

(need to DIY as well).

Therefore there is always no issue for me atm.

removed my xrt long base kit (chassis extension) and went back to stock. no more rain problems for me. already tried and tested. rained the last two days -.- withe the long base kit, the water collected under my seat fairing and flowed down and dripped directly onto my air filter that's why the problems even with wet roads. now even heavy rain also can ride.

Sorry to kinda revive this thread with this.

Am gonna give up my coming 3 year ride as am not gonna ride again anytime soon. Bike is well maintain at CKA Kaki Bukit regularly. Low mileage for a 3 year bike as I also have a car (one reason for selling). Willing to let go at a price you will not be able to find outside. My loss = your gain, really!! Have a few cosmetics done up for the bike too. Can PM me for more details.
