you cant.

when a retailer imports helmets, he must submit a number of these helmets in the batch for destructive testing. that means the test necessarily destroys the helmets. if the submitted helmets pass, the rest of the helmets in the batch are approved with sticker. next new batch must do all over again, i.e, the approval is not based on helmet model, it is batch testing.

therefore there is no way watsoever you can submit your one helmet for testing and approval.

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

yeah, they meant its fine$$$:lol::lol:

I will however say that in more than ten years of riding using sometimes approved sometimes no-sticker helmet, through several tp checks, my helmet was never inspected for sticker. my caveat is all my helmets have been 'proper', as in no half-helmets or tinted visors etc etc. i have personally heard of ppl being fined when wearing 'improper' helmets.

the fact is, if somehow the tp wants to inspect your helmet, he can anytime say "its a fine ($$$)" rather than "its fine (ok)". the shop is bullshitting you, period. any shop that says so is bullshitting you.

i've once had a shop trying to sell me an open face with metal buckle then pointing at the malaysian approval sticker insisting its allowed. i walked away not because i didn trust the helmet, but because i will not deal with any business that tries to bullshit me. the no-sticker helmets i've bought and used (all of which at least have ECE or SNELL coz i research first), the shop was honest enuff to declare the no-sticker and then clearly say they will not take responsibility for any issues with TP. i've even overheard one sales assistant flat out refusing to say "its ok" when pressed by an ang moh buyer about a helmet he intended to buy. at least they choose to be honest over making a quick buck.

It's only fine if you didn't get caught. In Singapore, you can wear an AGV Pista GP and still get ticketed for having no PSB sticker, but if you wear a paper songkok with PSB sticker TP lan lan suck thumb have to let you go.

Then again, generally nobody will bother you about your helmet as long as you wear something proper and discreet, without obvious illegal stuff like a tinted visor.

Yeah man! The shop owner told me as long as the visor is not tinted, it's fine! Anyways, I like your motovlogs!
