Prob looking at Sin65-70 per lever depending on no. of units, the tourtech for DL1000 cos ard 75. Any takers? Looking at min 4 set only.

Bro, shift lever for DL1K can buy from Mteknic, very simple to install, cash n carry, no hassle. Whereas DL650 need to ship from Status, and therefore to cut down on shipping cost I am consolidating orders. I have 2 orders already, waiting for 2 more 'prospective'. :cheeky:

i broke mine...left hand side still fine..

 

i did broke my right side some time ago. Went to lois and manage to get the right side only... if i remember correctly, i paid 20 bucks for it..

Guys, been following this thread for quite some time. I've been interested to get a 'dakar' bike but not sure if there is a first-hand 'dakar' bike in sg. Need to change soon cos I wanna go on adventure trips but unfortunately can't do that with a sports bike. Can anyone recommend shops here that have a first hand Strom? thanks alot guys.

but i think you got a wrong headstart...

You don't need a "dakar" bike to do adventure trips...you need to built your knowledge and skills on the technique riding off-roads which usually best to start with dirtbikes...

 

However,all the big trailies are capable of doing so,but i think it's best the riders are well prep before jumping for the splash...

 

Anyways,I am an outsiders,not from the V-strom gang..don't hate the v-strom gang if you find my comments are very straight forward.

The v-stromers are great people...

AT, Vara, Translap 650/700, TDM 850/900, Versys, Vstrom,

 

U sure going for dirt road? or jus touring with trunk rd?

IF you having the latter a streetbike like eg fazer will be enough...

AJ - Yep, i'm asking arnd and doing my research to build up on my knowledge about going on offroad adventure trips. I would love to start small but unfortunately, financially wise I can't afford it. It's gonna be tough for me for the first few times that's why i need all the guidance i can get... I'll be asking arnd for tips and feedbacks so the least i can do is prepare myself mentally... Hope you can share me some of experiences bro..

 

anodise - cant afford bmw le... haha! i'm planning to go offroad... that's why i'm looking arnd for big trailies... Would love to get AT but unfortunately there's none in production ryt nw..

Change mine to Tourance EXP for $370 bucks but for the "older" Tourance tires selling at 310-330(forgot coz too noisy) from HKL... Free gifts tire kits and shirts what else.... Better than nothing...

 

P.S - Anyone come across shops selling taller windshield posts it here.. I'm looking for one. Chan and the 2 Mahs' out of stock...
