Rick Hughes is also producing DL1000 fork brace. IIRC, the DL1000 has a bigger diameter compared to the DL650.

U can use Paypal and send the money to [email protected] and drop him an email. He will respond to you a few days later.

The forkbrace (FB) took about 20plus days to arrive to me. At the time, Rick was on business trip so that explained the delay.

You can read about it at http://www.vstrom.info/Smf/index.php/topic,9428.0.html

The FB is not bad. Installation was easy as I am a DIY-noob. An allen key was the tool I needed.

Initially, I had difficulty sliding it to the forks but jz needed some strong push. Dunno it's a placebo effect but it's more stable as I have been riding more aggresive since I put it on. But more obvious effect can be felt during the bends.

thanks. :thumb:

Attention to all V strom riders Super Brace is one of the best fork brace in the world because its made of aircraft aluminum and not made of any other metal (just to correct MonoWorld). Although this USA product is littlle X but its worth the money one time payment of USD 165.95 only and that's it unless you sold your bike thats a different story. When taking tight corner like cutting sayur(vegetable) you would not have that kind of waving feeling . On the strait road speeding more than 200km per hour felt a bit wobble due to strong wind impact on the side pannier boxes . Got to control the handle bars , seating posture and your body weight also play a part. check website http://www.superbrace.com/proddetail.asp?prod=3304

The materials explained the price difference.

Hi Vstrommers,

Just to let you all know that after riding my bike for 2 years, I have just changed my bridgestone trailwings both fornt and rear after 33325km. The front was wore down to the change markings and the rear still have some life left. I am quite impressed with the tyres mileage. I now have a set of bridgestone battlewings and hope it will give me good mileage also.

Hi Guys,

Just bought by dl650 used. Great ride. I am 6'2 tall and the stock seat is more suited to an average rider. I think the stock dl1000 seat would be better. Any tall seats out there? Any one want to do a swap? Dont mind paying a small price if you have one sitting around. Will be bumping in again sometime.
