i installed headlight switch on my bike. and i noticed if i were to turn on both headlights (my bikes is two H4), my charging rate is 13.8v-14.0v.

last time used to be 13.9-14.1v.

If I were to switch off both headlights, the charging rate is 14.4v

Whenever I turned on my bike without engine running with both headlight turned on, the voltage is only 11.7v to 11.8v.

The voltmeter is the small digital Dynamax (spelling?). Not sure abt the accuracy.

I understand that the charging rate supposed to be 14.5-15v.

seems like the charging rate is getting weaker. Is there anything wrong with my charging system or my battery?

Hi Monoworld,

No worries! Mine's also fitted with a Headlight on/off switch & Volt-meter and my readings a little worse than yrs and my missy has not given me any problem since day 1!

Anyway, my habit is not to on headlight until on highway or at night. And of cse, when cranking the bike to start!

Wait till you see the voltage drop when the aux Hella lights are switch on!!

Happy Riding!!

Hi Guys,

Just bought by dl650 used. Great ride. I am 6'2 tall and the stock seat is more suited to an average rider. I think the stock dl1000 seat would be better. Any tall seats out there? Any one want to do a swap? Dont mind paying a small price if you have one sitting around. Will be bumping in again sometime.

congrats on your new purchase. :)

you can try redo your seat by adding another 2 inches of high density foam.

Fastforward > the need for speed is calling...

CSstay > A few shaft bikes are now for sale at Loois, (Beemers) as the owners are changing for the Tenere.

Parman > I got my socket fixed at Mteknik.

am negotiating for a few shaft ones... hopefully the deal goes through and I don't have to lose much.

Mileage of bike is > 32 K

FBC Plate. The one year old birthday of the bike is in mid July. It is actually less than 1 year old. Had chain and sprocket changed at 28K (orginal suzuki parts) K&N Air filter changed at the same mileage. Anyother questions, Pls PM me.

Thanks. Sounds like that is a direction I will have to take. But still would have preferred someone with a spare or something for predictable results.

Hi, if you are referring to the Cig. Lighter socket. U can connect them to off-the-shelf croco-clips which can then to attached to the battery WHEN you need them. If you prefer perm attachments, get the 0-type connection and attached to battery perm. Just make sure that the Cig Lighter socket is SURE out of reach of water contact!
