Had a great session yesterday with Peter. I guess there's still a lot of stuff that we need to learn bout the bike.

Anyway we'll be doing the TEKA session together once the equipment is ship back here and i guess we'll need to share and buy the stuff from Peter.

That leaves us with the TBS. Anyone have the tool to do TBS?

On behalf of Taufik, he would like to thank everyone yesterday for the time and patience in waiting for him and escorting him and the gf back safely back to singapore.

The bike is currently in workshop doing some minor makeup. Will be completely ready in about one week. No major damages.

Was reading through bout the speedo healer. >>>Link Here

http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n121/decstorm/SHv3.jpg

http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n121/decstorm/speedohealer-blackBG.gif

On most modern motorcycles, with factory speedometer error being as high as 10%, even a modest sprocket gearing change can have the speedometer off by 15%. The sprocket change will also cause higher odometer reading, creating a negative resale factor for no valid reason. The SpeedoHealer is an inexpensive, convenient and very simple way to fix your speedo and odo. Compatible with all motorcycles with non cable driven speedometer.

SpeedoHealer v3.0 with 3 functions in 1 unit!

bla bla bla

...

...

...

...

What do you gain with SpeedoHealer?

- Accurate speedometer and/or odometer no matter what you change on your vehicle

- Your odometer won't show more miles/kms than you ride (RESALE VALUE!)

- Top Speed Memory (Ever wondered HOW FAST you were going?)

- Safety: your speedometer will always clearly indicate your actual speed, without lag

- Your top speed won't be restricted by the factory speed limiter (refer to FAQ #22)

It says the top speed is not restricted. That means the derestrictor is disabled. Anyone using speedohealer can comment?

I don't know if you are aware of this one. You can make you own low cost tool by using pvc tubing and ATF fluid

More about the adjustment process here http://vstrom.info/faq/index.php?action=ar...d=26&artlang=en .

Thanks, read about this before on the VSRI forum before. That day luN brought up a point regarding the pressure. Do we need specific pressure or just need to level up the pressure between the two throttle bodies.

If the pressure is not an issue and it's only about synchonising the intake, a tool as simple as this will do the job.

However, if possible, we could borrow the more 'professional' tool use by mechs to do our TBS.

Will try to fix a date to do this together. Perhaps u could join us again and meet more strommers.

The absolute vacuum is not relevant. The two levels just need to be in balance, which means there should be the same underspressure on both intakes.

There are also expensive tools like the Twinmax http://www.adventurersworkshop.com/twinmax.htm , or the VacuumMate http://www.vacuummate.com .

The above vacuum balancer looks primitive, but is accurate.

Or there is always - Meng Tong.

Hi Guys ..........

My Comments:

Speedohealer

I m using one ,especially after I had changed my sprockets . (43teeth rear.) I knew that with the stock , the speed is not that accurate , that will worse after the change . Speedhealer can be set to different setting to suit the conditions of the bike such as sprockets sizes and condition of the tyres. One thing i luv abt it is the top speed memory. For the vstrom, after installing it, i find that the bike is still restricted. Therefore , my next buy will the GiPro , the gear indicator with ATRE .

Vacuum Balancer

Gd news guys, I had the "vacuum balancer" . Just remember that I used to have it . Now at my bro place . Will get it from him soon . Then we will find 1 good time to try it out.
