Chain and sprocket?

Mainstand should be around $250+ from M-teknik.

If you planning to buy DL650...will get even better deals as they wanna clear the stock... according to Mr Lee, 600 cc are harder to sell off...

oh really? how much is one of those shiny 600 cc thumpers anyways? they look pretty.... .... thinking about getting one midsize cos the ton is just overkill.

for tyres.. u can see page 1. we have put up some info. for chain. i just check it out with bikeworks.. if i remember correctly.. shld be within 200..

Year 2002 bike, I'm concern about the milage.... 90k already....

no comments bout the milleage.. but been out with him to kulai once.. his bike rocks with the after market custom supertrapp exhaust ! power!!

it's a rocking v-power, not a thumper. Original price for the 650 should be ard 16-16.5k depending on age but since mr lee says he wanna clear stock i guess it could be be ard 14-15k? damn worth the deal man, go get it. with an de-tuned sv650 engine, it's more than enough fun on the road. A kuku skoda taxi tried to play pick up with me at traffic lights but back off when he knows that he's just wasting his cheap diesel for that. hehe

is it the FV plater? so fast change hands again? the yellow one with supertrapp pipes... slight crack at the tank/seat area...

At the moment no, maybe can request touratech, africa queen or safari to make tanks for vstrom.

As it seems, apart from dirtbike, aftermarket tanks for dp bikes are mostly or only to Honda n BMW bikes.

Hi to all V-Stromer's out there.

 

I am currently preparing to upgrade my bike and am interested in the V-Strom 1000.

 

If anyone has any tips about this bike, I would love to hear from you.

 

Also, if anyone knows where the best place to look at New V-Stroms would be, please let me know.

 

I am planning to buy in the next 2-3 months so just gathering info at the moment.

 

I have done quite a lot of research already and think I am quite happy with this bike as an alrounder that can also handle long cruises

if you planning to get a brand new strom u could try some of these shops...

 

Loois Motor (Kaki Bukit), Will Motor (Bedok), Teo Spray (Defu Lane)...

machine price is around $18k if im not wrong...add everything in should get roughly around $20k on the road.

 

If you are looking at the 650, there's 2 piece left (as of last Nov) at Loois Motor. I believe it is the only 2 piece left in Singapore. The new shipment (ABS model) will be arriving sometime in Apr.

 

2nd hand Strom still available. Can buy from the fellow forumers. Under the garage sale there is bout 1-2 guys selling their stroms. Not many 2nd hand stroms on sale at the bikeshops.

me not very know how to describe it.. but it sure handles easy.. not much effort needed.. n got the torque to vroom away.. top speed for mine is 230++ n can somemore.. without pillion n top box.. with pillion.. 210 max...

 

low speed/rpm for the 02-03 model.. can feel the vibration quite heavy.. maybe the 06 wun feel so. not sure.. can ask a forumer here .. he's riding one..

 

maintenance wise is quite cheap.. 2 plugs, 2.7l eng oil..

for the tyres.. there are much choices.. only 3-4 so far.. rd tyres u can forget it.. they dun bring in.. ex. bt020.. not size for our front 19inch rim.
