Hey guys! Just wondering any of you washes your bike manually here, and where do you do it? I stay in a HDB with an open space carpark. I know some multi story carpark do have car washing area, but for open space carpark as far as I know do not have one.

I wash mine by hand. No big deal.

2 pails of water, a sponge, a cloth, kerosene, chain lube, grunge brush, gloves, paddock stand and a stool to sit on, then just scrub away lor.

If a bit lazy can just go to a petrol station and borrow their hose and hose it down.

But where do you wash it? Just at the parking lot?

Yea, in the parking lot. I stay and park in an open air carpark. I push the bike to the furthest corner of my carpark and do the washing there so I don't block anybody. I also prefer to do it on the black asphalt instead of the cement ground because the asphalt will soak up any soap water and kerosene I drip while doing my chain, but the cement won't, making it slippery.

i believe this is the reason why, in a multi-storey where the floor is concrete/cement, it is strongly discouraged to wash vehicles anywhere other than the washing bay. in fact, i also believe it is an official regulation of hdb multi-storey, but it is never enforced.

on the other hand, for open air where the floor is already asphalt, owners are allowed to wash at any lot. the official regulations have no such prohibitions, and neither are dedicated washing bays provided.

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!
