I couldn't start my bike (no lights even) after leaving it unused for 2 weeks... Push started it at my friend's place and after riding from Tiong Bahru to Balestier on CTE, I tried to start it after switching off the engine but couldn't... The lights were back though.

 

Can I recharge it by push starting it again and going for a spin around Singapore or do I have to change to a new battery?

Do try to save the battery 1st - so u see mate, itis better to maintain your battery to make them work more efficiently & last longer. Regular charging helps, otherwise in your case charge yr battery b4 u travel or charge when u return from your trip b4 using the bike. We provide battery reconditioning at a norminal charge of s$2. Pls call b4 u comeby - 93891138.

Urmm.. I do not have a charger. So it's no use trying to charge the battery by travelling? does the reconditioning that you do recharges the battery?

Hi there

 

I just messured my bike's battery level.

It read 12.84V without the bike being switched on.

About 12.6+V when idle.

About 14+V with I MID-Rev

 

Is my battery still in good condition?

Been using my bike for a year plus now..

Most charger will blink or no light indication......

My Vanson charger does that.....

The ESi 12000 Battery Charger will indicate poor condition or low voltage battery by blinking (wif the tic tot tic tot sound). If battery is 100% kaput then there will be no charging lights at all. To trick the BC to charge a poor condition battery - pls use a good battery & series them - the BC will sense the good battery & once charging commence disconnect the good battery from the poor condition. Most of the time battery can be saved but they may not be efficient. Have fun charging ................ :)

I am sure there are other brands out there with competitive price that made good batteries....

How do we know " TET " is made in S'pore ? It may be CKD !!

Mr. hachi - U really should just stick to Yuasa Brand. :angel:

 

I am thinking of retailing batteries again but have not found a cheap & good brand yet ? There is a 200million Baht battery plant being built now by a close friend in Thailand - she should be online by 2009 September but I dun think they will be making Motorbikes Battery.

 

 

from wat my mechanic said. tet batt is totally cannot make it 1. singapore made BUT japan quality....
