I asked the same question before. The EO window is on the left side on the bottom, next to the words 2600ml. It's a bit small and if you are strong enough, you won't need a car jack to put on the stand. Just put your body weight on the bike, hold the tank and quickly squat down. Too troublesome? Get someone to hold the bike for you and then you can go down and check the oil level.

 

Engine oil change:

Periodic change is 2.6L, with oil filter replacement is 2.8L and total amount is 3.2L

ohh so its 3 bottle of eo will do ? does dragstar uses the same kind of oil filter like super 4? is there a spec for the oil filter?

Yes Alexander2004, 3 bottles of EO will do. I don't know if Super 4 oil filter will work 'cos they are from 2 different companies.

 

No worries, bishan. I don't know what does "total amount" mean for the engine oil, but I think a mechanic will know.

- No oil filter change

- Oil filter change

- Full drain (overhaul, or what Johan meant by total engine oil)

And there is no specific specification for oil filters. Most ppl use OEM oil filters and the most commonly used ones are Honda's because like almost everything else Honda, they are the most widely available and easiest to come by.

 

If you got extra money and do not know where to spend it, you may go for the premium brands such as KNN oil filters or HI-FLO oil filters.

You could either go for the 650 version KNN air filter or get it customize using your stock air filter at Mah Motorparts for around $50.

To be frank, it isn't just about her over pricing as I believe most enthusiasts are more than willing to pay that kind of money, but it is more about her attitude in service the customer.

Guess its a clear cut case of "Assumption is the mother of all screw ups".

(Think it has got to do with the hiatus from Rosli's place.)

Rest assured that apart from the occasional human error (prob due to complacency), information in the cruiser section is still accurate and reliable.

 

Now, just need to clock a couple more hours to make up for all that lost time.

what's the difference between hard compound and soft ones? I thought it's either tube or tubeless. My front is tubeless and rear is tube. btw, it's Pirelli MT 66 Route.

Hi, my dragstar's handlebar is wobbling heavily whenever I release both my hand from the grip. This only happen at the speed around 40km (without twisting the accelerator, off course). The wobbling disappear once I put my hand in the grip or when I accelerate. Anyone face the same problem before? what's the solution? sorry newbie here.

Hi, I believe it is ur steering coon. The ball-bearings are faulty contributing to that factor. Another problem could be the wheel bearings are faulty too..

 

I just had my other bike done up...

 

I can let go my Draggie's handlebar even at 80km/h...

thanks, previously I thought it's the wheel problem, so I need to balance or adjust the rim rod, btw, where did you fix your problem on steering cone? and how much did it cost you?

as mentioned before, it came with the bike. I don't know who's the previous owner.

1st. Draggie classic front tyre PIRELLI, u can get from LAB for $90.

 

2nd. Draggie K&N filter u can buy from EverSuccess (Lembu Rd next to Mustafa centre) for $90. I got mine there.

If u wanna try the filter before buying it, u can call or sms me for meet-up. I lend u mine for test ride only. Very, very easy to install. No mess at all!

 

3rd. For draggies who want to DIY servis or juz wanna how to do this & that on ur bike, I got the Service Manual in PDF format online. All u wanna know from specs, how much oil to add, how to adjust, how to change etc etc. U can view on my webpage http://www.vstar.ws

 

Take note that its actually manual for Vstar650 but similar wif Dragstar400 too.
