Hi guys,

 

Has anybody fix the original honda side box on a VFR Vtec?

How much does it cost?

Do u need 2 fix a rack 4 the boxes?

Hi,

 

I knew of some guys using the original side panniers, one of them is Bobby from JR Pte Ltd. I think he was the first one to bring in the boxes and use them here. It cost around $1800 but if more than one order should be cheaper. And yes you need a rack to fit the boxes.

 

Just my two cents worths

(SOLD) Talking about boxes, I still have the 3 boxes from my VFR with mounting bracket which i have no use for, It fit on the 98-01 VFR800, anyone who is interested please gimme a beeper. Price wise is neg since i have no use for it anymore.

 

Btw, the brand is NonFango.

Installation of the OEM panniers is pretty simple, with a little bit of patience.

 

Some stuff to note in my self installation :-

 

1. Make sure you have a size 13 spanner or socket. 2 Bolts or of size 13, and size 13 is usually the odd size one would carry or in a set.

 

2. 2 bushing required to slot into the pillion peg area. Use grease/GT85, and patiently slot them in. YOU NEED YOU FILE/DRILL TO ENLARGE THE EXISTING OEM HOLE.

 

3. A companion (extra) a drink and some patience. Else, its a pretty fun job.

 

Took me abt 2hrs to install with set of correct tools.

Did anyone try installing the Givi V35? or issit V33? hrm..cant remmeber but its a side box starting with V something one

from what i know if u look at the back view after installin v35, there is a huge space between the panniers and the exhaust whereas OEM has smaller space clearance.

Hey pal, H&B looks a bit awkward with the viffer when you park beside one with OEM Panniers. Was considering H&B previously but dropped the idea and went for OEM. Of course it was a bit more costly to have the OEM one but I think it is worth the money and wait.

It is better to keep quiet and remain a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubts...

Hi there! me also looking for side panniers..

The Bobby u mentioning, fr wat i know is no longer selling side panniers, now selling tyres behind Mah Motors.. Quote the price from Givi @ Mah Motors (Elyn), price of original side panniers worth 1700 to 1800 dollars complete with installation on what she told me. Anyway, found that Givi is releasing a new side panniers ( V35 ) looks similiar as original side panniers for VFR for half the price but it will only be release in Singapore in Jan next year. Check it out e website... http://www.givi.it...

 

Maybe we all can order in bulk so that it will be cheaper.. How?
