sell bike to bike shop without trade in?

try those bigger shops.. they are more likely to take in.. but be prepared to make a huge loss..

you didn't ask all the shops did you? go and ask around before you post again. sure to be shops which will buy in your bike but depreciation of value is something that you have to take into consideration. don't get conned into selling it at ridiculously low prices too, ask around, there are no specific shops that buy in bikes only.

be prepared to get at least $1K less without taking out a new bike. maybe even more.

bikeshop is doing a business. what bike are you riding? if your bike is not in demand what is the bikeshop going to do with your bike?

 

sometime when you trade-in your bike, they either scrape it or export it. Since they have made some money selling you a bike.
