my friend did a high speed braking above 120km/h with aftermarket china flower disc brakes, it snapped.

scary.

Goodness... China made huh? BEWARE! :giddy:

How time flies...

Big is certainly a warning but small can be downright scary! Never underestimate the effectiveness of small.

sum sae the china made aftermarket disc rotor are better than the OEM, while some sae OEM are better? So issit gd or bad compared to OEM?

My OEM rotor is 8 year old le. Kind of old le. If the aftermarket rotor is gd then may consider changing it.

china made disc brakes, what my mech says is that the disc brakes aren't that perfectly smooth at the point where both disc pads are to make contact with..

for e.g normal disc brakes looks like this from side view : |

after market china made flower disc brakes : S

well it's nt reall that kind of S by the naked eye, I say its like S is because once you brake, and as soon as you release your brake lever, the braking effect immediately stops as the somewhat S groves pushes away the braking disc pads soon after pressure is released..

well there are defenitely pro's and con's for this china made flower disc brakes.

it's good for SG road use, like say not that much of a high speed braking. much more for start stop moving, and you need the brake pads to move away from the disc brake as soon as you release the brake lever.

its not good for track/high speed use, say for high speed braking, as the disc brakes might keep pushing away the brake pads and overtime, the disc might give way and just SNAP.

and yes, the fellow friend is doing fine.

For every 7 pounds you lose, you gain one horsepower.
