That power supply cable cannot be used on Legend, only for 60CSx. Legend uses standard mini-USB cable.

Hiya,

Check with the vendor, usually they will estimate or post shipping rates. Generally rule is buy more will spread out cost.

hi guys...

didn't know there is a GPS forum here ...

Got this so called lubang for anyone interested in GPS for their bike and car... 2 in 1... and its much cheaper then the Zumo500 or 276c. Item is waterproof as mentioned in Garmin website. https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=6387

Specks : Waterproof, 2GB internal memory, Voice prompt, 2D & 3D maps view, Touch screen

Bad Point: Operates with power supply only

Price as mentioned in the subject above, S$480. I'll say its a good buy. It comes together with latest Singapore Malaysia map. And this offer is inclusive of latest Thailand map v8.1 too.

Items in the box are pictured below

The Garmin Streetpilot 2720 looks interesting.

$480 with Sing/Mal/Thail map, meaning it is now available in Singapore shop?

Which shop have it?

Thanks.

shops I not sure...

actually order it online... direct from US.. then bundle it with Thailand map and sell it lor... still have Garmin 1 year warranty... buyer can register online...

As far as I know.. Thailand routable map itself is going for about $120-$150.. so that's why I mentioned earlier that I think its a good deal...

Hi there,

I've read thru the threads and still couldn't make up my mind on the Garmin model to be used on my beemer.

Frankly, I quite agree on the "must have" function and "good to have" function to streamline the choices. Batt lifespan is as important as having the flexibility of a power supply attached to my bike.

However, I may not want to have something that is too old nor too expensive. Budget

Any help?

Features are a function of price. Some features maybe an absolute necessity to some but totally useless to others. Like all things in life, your choice is ultimately determined by your budget.

Battery endurance is technically dictated by the size of LCD screen. All things being equal, the bigger the screen, the shorter the battery endurance.

If you want a Garmin GPS truly built for motorbikes, you can consider these models :

- Nuvi 500

- Zumo 450, 500, 550

But all of the above are above your budget of SGD450.

Between SGD450-SGD500 you can consider the following weather-proof handheld Garmin GPS which are available locally :

- eTrex Legend HCx

- eTrex Vista HCx

- GPSMAP 60CSx

- GPSMAP 76CSx

In all honesty, only a Zumo, with it's standard bike mounting kit, will look right on a beemer. :)

there are also bikers who users the Streetpilot 276c, 2720 & 2730 for bikes... something for you to consider too...

street pilot yes, i have saw a Goldwinger use it before..but mind that its a GOLWINGER so the GPS looks smaller. for a normal bike even for a beemer a street pilot require space to put due to its size.

Zumo is way out of ur budget even if its the best among motorcycle use wif that kinda price tag, u will need to save up first.

ZUMO 450 -$950

ZUMO 550 -$1150

will be getting mine 2nd hand next week from someone.

bought frm him a Garmin Quest..and older GPS but meant for motorcycle use.

EVERYTHING!!

Felt that if you require bluetooth function on your GPS, then Zumo 500 is enuff. Not necessary to get the Zumo 550. The price for Zumo 500 at Perfect watch was S$999.

Had been using the Zumo 500 for about 2 months now. Love it alot. No regrets
