anyone using nokia E71 with Garmin Mobile XT??

Anyone has any comments on the NUVI 500 for motorbike. Wanted to get one but it was sold out during the recent IT show...

 

I found them selling ard USD$256 on amazon.... don't know how much is shipment

Amazon shipped free within US, so get it sent to vpostusa.

 

From vpostusa to your home is about SGD30. The Nuvi 5X0 has gone down lately so you maybe able to "siam' GST, otherwise that's another SGD27 (est).

my legend cx juz short circuit last fri and cannot be on..

when i left e batt in gps after 15mins i take it up to try e whole gps heated up.

thurs i remove e batt..

If the device is fried, then Garmin is the only people capable of repairing it.

 

Did you buy it from a local garmin distributor ?

If YES, send it to Navicomm. If it's under warranty, then it will be repaired FOC. Just pretend you didn't know how it got fried.

 

If NO, then you have to send it directly back to Garmin Corp in Taiwan. If it's under warranty, it will be fixed FOC, again, you have to pretend . However you have to bear the cost of sending it there, by whatever means, and return shipment is DHL at USD39, charged to your credit card.

I think you can DIY cheaply for Mobile phone GPS. Just go DIY shop to get the ring type tightener (usually for pipe or tube ), Buy a hard casing for the phone, and screw some hole on it together with a thin wooden or metal bar.. and fix it.

can DIY... socket is available at many shops in sim lim tower. important thing is identifying a suitable place to fit the socket; strongly recommend to connect to ignition and not direct to batt
