Hi Cruisers!

 

Was just wondering whether any small cc; mainly 400cc to 750cc Jap cruiser bikes going to this BigBikeFest?

 

Kinda interested but having a small bike. Feels paisey to join when most bikes are 1000cc above & like those HDs, with their rumbling exhaust.

 

I believe cruisers like shiraz, gohjohan wld love to join in. I'll be working on the 16th, can't take leave for that matter. Sucks! But I hope to be down on the 17th instead..

 

But this thread will be for those smaller cruisers interested to join. Unless those big cc bikes or HDs refrain us of maybe not meeting any requirements?

 

TeePees, if this thread should be moved, please do so coz I ain't sure which forum the topic shld fall in...

oic... I'm going with the Kruzers. Actually there's a list going on in that thread and apparently you aren't able to log on there. nights is organising for Kruzers. Have to check with him to see if you can join in.

 

I'll be going on Saturday for the ride and maybe on Sunday afternoon for the rest of the fair.

On Phantom Knights page, they're organising too. There will be plenty of others who are riding smaller cc bikes.

Just my opinion, but anyone who would look down on a fellow rider because of the size of his/her bike is not anyone who's opinion is worth paying attention to.

 

(Very few big-bike riders sprang fully grown onto some big machine... and those that did probably promptly fell off :-) )

 

We were all smaller bike riders at some stage and had just as much fun!

Actually Big Bike Fest doesnt mean a fest for big bikes

It simply means a Big Fest for Bikes ......

 

Just that it's a lot easier and funkier to call the event Big Bike Fest than to call it Big Fest for Bikes

 

big or small nevermind, as long as it's a bike......

hopefully not. coz that's definitely not nice. we must not forget that some ppl can only afford up to 2A bikes, yet still HAS a Class 2 licence.

IMHO, its ok for all bikers to go for this event. However, I doubt one would want to park amongst big cc bikes if is riding a small cc bike, unless, your small cc bike is extremely outstanding. I remember seeing a chopper with a scooter engine amongst the harleys at Port Dickson BikeFest, and I guess thats because its outstanding. Or even a 110cc classic Honda. But if one rides a bike that not many will have a second look, I'd rather park somewhere else and walk there ...

 

I rode a substantially big cc bike during Port Dickson Bikefest but I chickened out and parked far away from the other big boys ...

 

So if you have the guts, then fine but if do not ... just join in the fun. Afterall, its about feasting and drooling over the big bikes or unique bikes. Having one that does not call for a second look perhaps only enhances the ones that do.

 

But all said, it DOES not mean if you ride a small bike then don't join in. If you join in, its because you have great interest in bikes and thus gives you the right to be there .... so join in and have fun.
