Ya, you pump in full tank possible to get 17 litres. Then from there you see how it goes.... Happy trying...

same here... 18-20km/l, vtec very rare use... is it the type of petrol station? how often u guys clear carbon and how? i find if i never clear carbon once a week, my bike will have difficulty to start.

mine 266.6km ( left with only 1 bar ) on 13.8L of esso's 98 ! which means 19.7km/L? lol

what u mean by clear carbon and how? while riding or rev while stationary? before riding off or after riding off?

Some will do a high speed run for a distance 2 "clear carbon" :)

what do you guys mean 'reserve' cos i can't find any reserve valve and i believe s4 doesn't come with reserve valve as what other bikes have? reserve mean when the indicator bar start to blink and how much more distance can it cover on 'reserve' based on general guide?

 

just to share, when i travelled to jb and 'ram' my bike to 130~140kmh [clear carbon?], my bike performance gets better. When back to spore, just 1 day, performance is so-so due to our road speed and limitation.

They don cum with reserve valve cos it is electronic.... I mean it will electronically switch to reserve if the main one has finished.....

 

Try check the manuals.....

I reckon that the reserve is when the fuel bar swing left right,right left..

I've yet to try it to the max it can 'tahan' beofre fuel totally runs dry..but everytime when pump in from reserve,it will be at close to 14 liter of fuel.

how can we know we're in reserve? the most i pump is 12l. trying to max out when pump petrol in jb.

the fuel bar will swing left right as rayhunter above have mentioned..

During riding, the meter is nt accurate as the fuel liquid is moving ard.

 

Usually can check when it is stationary, it is more accurate.

 

When on side stand (slant), it is also not accurate.

 

But pls dun try to hit the limit, pushing a S4 to petrol station is very very very ...... :sweat: :sweat: haha..

same for me too. i pump reserve 13.5 to 15litres.

 

btw any advise or right method clear carbon??

for me, while riding i would drop gear to 4 or 5, half clutch, see my rev go up, blast for short distance n up gear dats all...

if i lesser time on road, i go one secluded place, rev up the bike for few times quickie ah.

anybody think this is correct? or if there really a need to do such thing?

but come to think of it,how much carbon can we clear by revving the bike? can those stuck,stubborn carbon really can be cleared? I think best way is still take out the header,exhaust and clean it..hee.

my bike full tank can onli go max 250km... cuz my jetting got change...

 

No choice jetting increased, fc also increased. Think my spec2 previous owner also changed jetting, tats y fc high... Just sent my spec2 to workshop last 2 wk. Performance great n smooth but fc still same. Spent abt $900+:

-new battery

-new k&n filter

-new radiator cap

-new uradium plugs

-new fully syn eng oil

-new coolant

-repair rear showa suspension due leakage

-service valve clearance

-service carbreuttor

-remove eng guard n exhaust to sand down n spray

your r1 20-22km/l? how come compared to s4, s4 fc so lousy.. if a 1000cc bike can get 22km/l shouldnt a 400cc bike be getting more?

Tats y i don understand also. Initially thought s4 can clock at least 25km/l but turn out even more. Both bike eng smooth n great but really don know y fc different so much. One 400cc n one 1000cc...

something i dun understand also.. any1 can enlighten me.. pple can say cos you whack your s4 so fc like that etc.. but i dun think the diff is that great..
