...Lucky parts from Phantom, Steed and Shadow are suitable for slasher, makes its unique, yet cheap to maintain.

 

Anyone can throw some light whether Steed and Shadow parts can also be used for Slashers?

Are parts easy to get?

Got my slasher not long ago too. All stock from 1st owner. Just changed the air filter, EO and oil filter.

Its more powerful than Steed from my experience. And the large tank is great.

Went to planet motor recently for servicing recently, mech there was indeed very knowledgable and knows his way well around the slasher. Diagnosed that the spark plug wire is too short and have it replaced, left a happy man and $128 poorer but I would say money was well spent. For bros who are looking for backrest with lugguage rack can try daredreamer AKA soon fatt at changi road. As I was hunting for one around for one along jln besar w/o any luck. Was already on my way to SK to have it customized, passed by daredreamer and decided to try my luck and yes they do have it but currently no stock have to wait for end of mth. Btw I was quoted $150 inclusive of installation :-)

Just aquired a FS slasher. Need some help from our pro bro here....

1. Where can i get a second hand speedo meter cos mine current digital nt reading keput leow.

2. Where can i customize my ride thought of diy myself but no time ??????

3. The engine plastic cover on the right side need to replace where can buy ????

 

Appreciate all kind of help and information. Thought of send this slasher to Rosli ?? He can get the parts for me ??

Happy New Year to all Slasher riders!!

Renewed the COE for my Slasher in Dec 2010. Then decided to ride to Malacca.

I then changed the front & rear sprocket and chain (all original). Coolant flushed and replaced. EO & spark plug changed of course.

Then I rode up to Malacca and back! Great ride.

When you said keput, it means totally no display? It could be contact problems. I opened mine when I tot it was spoilt, (can't switch between ODO and trip reading). Found out that it was connection problems as the wires connectors corroded. Remove screws, spray a little WD40 on the screws and washers, some sanding to ensure good contact. Or remove the connectors to the meter to check anythuing loose or corroded.

Anyway a new meter cost abt $200++ and you can asked at Eversucess at Lembu Road.

Check out the Steed thread. One biker did up his Steed at Kallang Place and it is quite well done...with abt $2000 spent. Shd be same for Slasher.

Actually my speedometer still ok but the digital milage guage "melts" cnot see leow.

Yo Bro, mine also looked like it was burnt with lighter! But it was years of wear and tear as the previous owner left it under the sun for prolonged period. But mine can still see the reading.

Anyone can comment on the adjustment of rear suspensions for Shadow or Shadow Slasher? There are 5 levels. Is it for rider hardness preference or pillion comfort?

Mine's the stock purple one as well! But somebody stole my right side cover two weeks ago so my bike looks super cui now. =((( Yeah its such a rare bike, no spare parts in Spore, nor is there any in the factory in Japan. =( Have to order from the US. Rawr!

 

Anyway, I see some on the road. Maybe I've met some of you before. Haha. =PP I would hazard a guess and say that there are about 50 of us around?
