hihi! i just passed my 2B and am thinking of getting a used atlantic from an owner from SBF. However i have some queries about the atlantic in general... hope to find some answers here. this thread is 51 pages long so i didnt finish reading it.. i hope i'm not repeating questions. anyway is the cost of spare parts and maintenance really very costly for aprilia atlantic? how is the re-sale value? cos i'm buying as 2nd owner and have totally no idea how long i'll ride.. cos my parents only allowed me to try and if it's too dangerous i gotta sell... lastly is bout the headlights. i noticed that when u use low beam only one side is lit. when u use high beam the other side is lit. it's only when u press and hold the passing light the 2 headlights are lit. i find it very ugly for only one side of the headlight to be lit... is there any way to have both sides lit when riding normally? thanks lots lots lots!!!

since cost is a consideration, you can buy an atlantic that's coming to three years old now. compared to a new atlantic, you're saving almost half.

 

i don't recommend switching on both headlamps at once. the battery will drain fast if you're not always on the move. you can rewire it BUT it seems that the relay is for each lamp, so it's not an easy job to rewire unlike the X9. you'll have to dismantle a lot of parts to run the wire.

i only switch on both lamps when it's extremely dark with minimal streetlamps, which is rare in singapore.

There will be an Italian Meet-up 2morrow at Kallang KFC at 3pm. A lot of Italian bikes including Cagiva Mito125 n Planet125, Aprilia RS125 n RS250, Ducati, Aprilia MX125, Gilera...... will be there.

 

As u guys here are riding Aprilia, anyone interested to join this once a year event pls be there n if u want to enquire anything, can call me at 90214262-Dannis...( I own a RS125)

Attention To all Aprilia Owners..... we are from the SBF Sportsbikes Aprilia thread. We are trying to gather all the Aprilia owners n have our very own "Aprilia Club" regardless whether u riding an Aprilia Scooter, Scrambler....etc

 

Actually we have our own web site already, sponsered by one of our ppl. We are not sponsered by any bike shop or organization at all. Very very interested in an atlantic, but can some brothers here answer my queries...how many colour does the atlantic comes with....only mah is selling them? cause i like black but i dont see any black atlantics around.

Haha... no black colour la.. closest is dark BLUE... unless u wanna respray.....

 

Go Mah check it out... They got Silver, Blue, Champagne Gold(look like beidge to me) and Red...

As far as I know, Atlantic does not come with box. So no pillow.

No Aprilia atlantic cushion box like wat REBO mentioned.... Our bike doesnt comes wit box... Mone is silver.

But ... there is a box specially made for Atlantic by Aprilia but it cost a bomb. Do a search on the net for pics of it.

Hi Hi to all Aprilia owners

 

I have been owned my Aprilia scarabeo for abt 1 n half yrs, only recently its been giving been problem...

 

The problem is, when i'm travelling at 80km/h constant, the engine starts to wanna die off, when i throttled, the bike starts to jerk n jerk, until i can hear the exhaust pipe backfiring. i have to stop for awhile wif the engine still running, stationary, i throttle abit, then everything is back to normal again.

 

The funny thing is, this problem dun always happen, its like once in awhile, mayb depends on the mood of the bike.

 

need some advise from u guys here....

knightrider so hows your ride....any major probs. actually i am waiting for my tp on the 4th may but i am going to get aprilia atlantic 100% so gotta bug u to get to know more about the atlantic. mostly is i wanna know whether getting a 2nd hand 1 would be adviseable(? on the engine condition) or just get a 1st hand. how much u spend on maintaning your bike.

Me no Xpert but can share abit. So far so gd....First owner....Whether 2get new bike or not depend on ur pocket,i personally pref new thing.. hahaha.. so i can slowly savour it myself.. 2me Mtn consider reasonable.. depend on wat mileage ur doin.. recently just change EO only,cost ard 16 net(Cheaper if u DIY).. major servicing should be ard 200+????.... Look ard this forum rgd servicin it'll gv u get a better pic...Maybe some of our more Xperience Rider can provide more info.....

haha.thanks for your replies. so how much u paying per month for your atlantic.how much is the yearly insurance...it covers theft and fire right. =)

mine is cheap cheap cos i trade in my old bike(still got value), no cash involved.

 

monthly installment should depnd on ur loan sum, interest rate and loan period. new atlantic should be ard 8k plus minus.. not sure wats the current px now. U shouls be able to make out which is comfortable for u. Give a call to Mah Motor, should give u a clearer pic.
