Hi everyone,

i'm not sure if this topic ever created by someone else before. Need some of your advice here about S4 front fork. This is my 2nd time my right side fork is leaking. The 1st one happen just after taking out my bike and ride it for about 2 weeks then my right fork leaking.

Send back to Boon Siew for servicing as it is still under 1 yr warranty. Just today i discovered the same right fork is leaking again. Is it that S4 bike easily have this leaking problem to the fork, if i send it back to Boon Siew will i be charge for it to be service for the 2nd time and any other better ways or solution to recommend so that this problem don't repeat again???

All S4 riders, really need your advice to clear my doubts. Many thanks in advance.

If ur bike is under warranty sent it back to Boon Siew, if not it could be during the installation they did not put the oil seal in properly to ur fork tubing.

Btw do u use a fork brace?

Normally forks don't leak till at least a few yrs.

If i were you, i will go back and ask them to repair... the thing is, this problem was there when you take the bike out and not some problem which you have caused yourself.... i think boon siew is a worthy shop. Unless you buy at some other shop which can never get the repairs done... like where i got my bike then thats another story lo... waste time and effort nia.... they give me and my friend 3 month warranty, but i think 3 years also not enough for them to repair, in the end we fork out our own money to repair at Planet.

Ok noted about that, no i did not install fork brace to my fork. Why you ask about fork brace, does it do any good thing to the fork??? What i understand that it provide stability to the fork right?? Correct me if i'm wrong.

Noted, but i also bought from bike shop and not direct from Boon Siew. Only that i still got warranty that is why i go back to them. Just want to ensure that i will not need to fork out any money just to repair the leak for the 2nd time.

If the fork brace is properly installed its fine but never overtighten fork brace as it will put more pressure on the oils seals and cause it to leak. Just do a quarter turn once there is pressure is fine don't over tighten.

Don't worry guys am using a fork brace myself.
