Check again wif the mech tat u went....

Wats the cos of the rectifier n ECU to short circuit?

Yah u shud go back to the same mech and say the same thing happened even tho u changed those parts that they claimed were so called short circuited... reputable workshops will normally troubleshoot everything again for you FOC... except for changing more parts...

Sorry I wouldn't know what caused ur electrical components to malfunction but Vtec1 is an old bike and its good to have grounding done for the bike to prevent electrical surges or short circuits to the main electrical components.. good luck

Sent my Spec 1 to Ah Pek this morning for servicing.. He then sent me to my workplace using his own bike.. Very good service lah Ah Pek.. Changed eo (specially mixed by Ah Pek), put some CLX, liquid Molly, blow carbs and did 16point grounding.. Now the bike is super responsive and smooth.. Make me feel like Valentino Rossi but i don't have his skills lah.. Thanks Ah Pek for the advice.. And very cheap too..

hahz... anyway just to ask those who ride spec III,

do you all encounter, during wet roads or raining, the rear tyre will splash the water onto the plastic cover/area JUST behind the pillon seat, to be more specific, the part above the rear light?

&

is there any cruise control device for CB400 bikes?

definitely will, not just Spec III, fixing topbox will help or fix up an additional longer mudguard below the number plate will help a little too.

ride safe today,ride again tomorrow

Ah Pek I also heard you can change the Speedo and Tachometer lights? What do u use? LEDs? What's the setup cost like? Colours available? Thanks.

Depend on variation of model from non vtec to vtec. Like evrsion R..need 3 T10 and Version S 2 T10 and 1 T5 (I think), PB1 1 T10 and 2 T5. Vtec 1 to 3 I forgot liao. LED type price different..depending on quality and make, China, Taiwan and Japs. Price from $11 a piece to $35 a piece oso got. All these are direct replacement of your current bike stock glass bulbs which is hot and consume current which easily carbonised up your wirings.

The other way for brighter solution is to install strip type leds on the inner rim side of both the meter where the lites floods just above and below the dial scale.

ya definitely will splash. mine everytime dirty but once kanne rain le just take the opportunity of free water to wipe off everything. haha

what about changing the rear no. plate fender? see quite a few s4 riders, they modified and took away the original plastic no. plate fender, screwing the no. plate onto the metal bars ....

is that for cosmetic purposes or does tt help to prevent splashing rain?

IMO, motor kena splash is ok, so long yr body do not kena splash while riding on wet road condition.
