been riding for my s4 for 2yrs+ , never service my cub .

so should i service it ??? if there's nothing wrong ??

heard few old mech told me , dont open cub if there's nothing wrong.

afriad that open cub , than my 9yr old bike will start to have prob.

They are right...neevr disassemble your carbs unnecessarily unless there is something wrong or need to change components. The manual oso never say anything about "carbs servcing". But if there is blockage etc..in it, you can do carbs cleansing without dismantling it for a lot cheaper. Pm me if you need.

The idea of not disassembling the carbs and its component is not to meddle or offset things that are manufacture set. If there is nothing wrong..need not too.

Not sure what do u meant by tuning but there are two..1) Carbs balancing 2) air/fuel setting (only when stock exhaust whole system has been altered.

[Question] Sorry to bother again ....

I ride a spec3 and its turning 4yrs old this coming Oct.. Have some enquires to ask ..

Ytd when i riding my bike got 2 problem happen.. 1st, when my bike is on station, i open throttle until vtec open den after that engine die off, try to start a few time den it manage to start.. Second, got abit of burning smell after the engine die off...

And lately my rpm needle tend to fluctuate quite abit at idling speed which i set at abt 1000rpm there ... Does this mean that is time to service my carburetor alr ??

I haven service my carbutor and flush my coolant dunno for how long alreadi .. Battery also .. Thk got abt 1+ to 2 yrs alr ..

And last friday, when i go to change EO and spark plug, the mechanic release that inside the coolant reservoir there got rust stain, ask me muz flush if not that radiator will have problem ...

Does all the problems mention above are all related to all those things that i havent done yet ??

S4 Lao Jiao and Bros pls enligthen .... Thanks alot .....

Could be air filter dirty..since when the last time you changed or had it clean?

2)

Ye..it has to do with the carbs and air flow matter. Have your carbs clean but without dismantling it if possible..pm me if you are interested to have it done this way. There could be fuel slime residues and others that is clogging inside. Dirty or clogged air filter oso contribute to this problem.

3) ...haven service my carbutor and flush my coolant dunno for how long alreadi .. Battery also .. Thk got abt 1+ to 2 yrs alr ..

Carbs don't have to do anything unless you are sure there is problem with it..but at all, try not to open it..especially so call "carbs servicing". Coolant is a MUST CHECK for the right level at the coolant rserve tank. If the coolant turns brownish or rusty colour, better have it change because likely its rust inside your cooling system caused by used of tap water instead of deionised water (distilled). Battery depends..the normal $75 one last about 1 yr..lucky 1.5 yrs. Japan original Yusa dry cell last 4 to 5 years.:sian:

hey guys, got some question here.

recently i felt tat my bike when riding, the vibration is quite alot.

when throttle, it seems like something is pulling back the bikes, throttle response is not very gd too. i had ride 3 other S4 and i can really feel the diff.

ani one have any idea wat goes wrong?

Overhaul in terms of wat?..Changing piston, piston rings and cylinder block or just cylinder head overhaul?...If not whole engine my advice is just run in for 500km...

What i did to mine after overhaul of cylinderblock and piston, piston rings is i rode 500km,open throttle from 4krpm to 8Krpm...just to seat the rings. Important is to fully warm up the bike.

My style is like that so far so good no compression leakage. Not sure about others advice...

i changed my conrod, cam shaft too...hmm.. ????

If you already done your carbs and closed up why you still considering? If there is no overflow right now..there should be no problem with it. Every old parts sure to have wear mark sign.
