can i ask Yuasa YTZ10S-MF and the 7A wat the different.....

and as well as the price?

n oso is it a muz to change the rectifier n battery together?

The difference is CCA (Cold Cranking Current) and yes, you can use. Selling at Chiong Aik for $160..but elsewhere can get $145. It's direct from Japan and a dry cell..no need to inject electrolyte...'plug and play'.

Rectifier change with battery?..no..unless your rectifier is screw. Check for consistance 13.b vdc from output of rectifier to verify.

Hi guys, need to ask some question about S4. Im quite new with this so i hope there are some out there that could help me. So here goes...

1) Heard that Vtec1 has some problem with rectifier. Is it true? Or some other S4 model that has that kind of problem. How much does it cost to repair it?

2) Heard/read about S4 owners doing 'grounding' on their bike. What does it do and if its good how much will cost?

3) What other stuff can you do to make S4 ride good again, let say if its been running almost to its COE life?

Thanks in advance. Cheers...:cheeky:

Knowing so many Vtec 1 owner..never heard of such..only first series of PB1 because the rectifier does not have cooling fins. Cannot be repair..replaced instead..$65 to $95 depending from where China/Japan.

2) Heard/read about S4 owners doing 'grounding' on their bike. What does it do and if its good how much will cost?

Grounding works great for better sparking thus better combustion and oso helps return leakage current effectively if done correctly. This does not work with what has been called "points grounding". Cost among all the mototiam varies from $30 to $75 depending on how its done. Careful..many are useless and done more harm than good.

3) What other stuff can you do to make S4 ride good again, let say if its been running almost to its COE life?

A lot can be done to bring your ride back to "live" again..thru just "Liquid Engineering"..if interested..pm me.

Quick check with you guys.

The odometer and speedometer on my super four version S isn't working anymore. What could be the cause? Would I have to replace the entire set? Any indication of the approximate price range?

Many thanks in advance.

From what I understand..the whole base electronic base circuit board has to be replaced..cost about close to $380-$500..can't quite remember, base on a Vtec 1 model from FJT quote about close to a year ago. If I'm not wrong, the board come with the LCD display panel all integrated.

Check with LAB...they are bringing the stuff too at about half the cost only.

(Q) i was wondering how do we clean our chain properly:) ?super4 bike, the chain and sprocket if possible

20% soap water..80% kerosene (won't harm rubber rings)..and a brush to dip in the solution to brush off. Jsut about any oily surface..even carbs area where there might be oil stain acculumated with dirts from donkey years.

Rinse off hard with ater after that. Go for a ride..get the chain dried and oil with eo. Have fun!:sian:

"so fuel addictive is good for old and new bikes ? " No!..can be humful depend on what you know what's good and right. Please, don't asked for produc detail here..ain't promoting their products in case someone uses it and it screwed their bikes. There are procedures andinstruction to follow.

Nothing secretive..if at all interested..come meet one of those Ko-pe-Orh session at Tech Ghee square. Check outcome from Non-Vtech threads.:sian:

@@ realli can be humful ? nvm i already order from him .... do i need to take note of anything ???

I was generally refering to using any kind of additive that some can be harmful...not whatever you have ordered etc.

But do some research before jumping into a product that suppose to ehance your bike. Some items that use by car cannot be use on bikes.:sian:

Could be or may be the vaccum tube is loose due to oversize at their lips before entry. Its probably being starve off petrol. Just check those things that are fuel feeding related in function and u should be able to narrow down the problem. Check for cleaniness of your air filter too..or take it off and crank start test. Could oso be you choke linhage..give it a few pull from the right side on atop the outer carb nearest the side, outside. It could be 'jamming' the flaps inside the carbs.

LOL!...what I can tell you is that your mech does not know that the back braking for S4 is designed that way in order not to lock the wheel but still can if you step real hard and sudden.

Yap..that's correct. There is a bleeder hole in the tank cap that leads to a small air bleeder tubing under the tank. There is a bigger one but that's for overfilled petrol to flow out.

Once the air bleeder hole is clogged with dirt or other foreign objects..or the tube under the tank get kink while putting back the fuel tank, petrol flow consistancy is obstructed...just like sucking a half boiled egg without another hole on top for pressure to pust stuff down.

Anyway..there is no smooth or rough brake pad type..may be his hand was oil and oil soaked intot he padding. Go back to him and request he take it out again and use a ******* file and file cut diagonal lines pattern on the brake pad. If he don't, tell him you get into accident, you sue the mototiam..heee...x2!:sian: Oso check your brake fluid level.
