Thanks for that, as yet I haven't had the tank off the bike so not sure how much room there is under there to fit a tiny fuel filter, after tomorrow the tank will be nearly empty so a bit lighter, will have a look then.

When you take off the tank..there are 4 tubes to remove..they are: vacuum, fuel (very short), overfill drain rubber pipe and a breather rubber tube (thinner of the two attached to the tank). Of all, be most careful not to "kink" the breather tube when putting back the tank while its attached or the carbs be starved off fuel. Most of us leave it out...LOL!

 

Oh..don't forget there is a electrical connector for your fuel gauge on the right bottom side..have to disconnect it before you lift the tank off..otherwise, it would be snapped.

Better check your coolant tank level. The light coming on is freaking serious..if its not wiring fault...your coolant system somewhere is screwed! Do it b4 engine block water jacket cracks! Need help, pm me.

I had my battery changed 3 mths n fitted with a old-style volt meter (low/med/high indicator). Just these few days, when i start the bike, it shows a weak 'Med'. When either the signal indicator or brake light is on, it goes to 'Low'.

 

I am at a lost. Is the battery at fault? The electrical connections hay-wired?

Does 'grounding' helps?

to start with, your voltmeter is not a very good gauge to determine whether your battery is faulty.

you need to use those multimeter like they use in bikeshops (can buy from mustafa if you really need it) and test direct from your battery to access better. otherwise, ask your bikeshop to test for you..

Base on your description if all are true..your magneto is bad..time to replace. If it was your rectifier..the battery would have been fried liao but since its only dying off charge slowly..its the magneto coil not providing. So, don't get con by the mech that the rectifier has to be change too. Oso..your eo need not to be changed while changing magneto. Cost about $280 to $320.

I believe you can get it from Lim Ah Boy..his workshop install 3 point crash bar..shouldn't nbe a problem getting one from them. Workshop is at Kallang Bahru.

Not sure about the exact sound you heard as per described..but usually it's a combination of "tick" and "tiak" sound. As long as it goes away..its normal and very common in older S4. After awhile it's gone totally. Better eo does helps especially if its an older bike like yours.

 

If the sound ever gets louder and stays on for more than 2 weeks or so..its something else.

Not sure about the unit number but its along a street..very obvious..opposite a Ko_pee_tiam. The road name is Kelantan road I think..inside Sugnei (sp?) road area.

hi all, would like to check out does anyone know the standard size of S4 spec 3 spocket size? recently i had just change my spocket to vortex size 45, i clock with my fren and my speed was 95km/h and my fren speed was 85km/h. so there was a different of 10km/h.why izzit so?

The main problem is with my vtec. when hit 7 rpm my vtec always open n have a very distinct noise but yesterdae the sound came out during 7 rpm but disappear after hiting 8 and it doesnt feel like the g force is pulling u when it hit 7. Could it be tat my vtec valve did not open or sumthing else? if this question have been asked i am sorry to repost it again coz i cant find the thread.. plz help

i have heard the price of renew coe = adverange price of the COE of past 3 months ????

 

and when is the latest date , i need to go renew before it hits 31st of may ?

You be noticfied ny LTA with a letter...if not..better check with them. You can use singpass and access search with No. plate thru LTA web site. The COE $s value would be automatically average out and calculate just for you for your bike when you want to renew..the price is diffence base on news coe publication results..usually lesser. You ley bike shop do..they care u admin and transport fee and lower coe value oso you don't know. Better DIY!

Hi Guys,

 

Need some help here .

 

The back signal lights went to Holland n didn't come back .

The front signal lights also went funny. When RIGHT signal is on, front Right light went off but LEFT light stay . Like wise when LEFT signal is on.

 

So i thought, it's either the both signal bulbs, the fuses or electrical wires or i don't know ? Anyway, went to change both the back bulbs. Guess what - nothing happened. Nothing .

 

Pls help to give suggestions. If need to change fuse, which one? Where to buy? What to buy?
