Hi everyone, would like to ask u guys, how much will roughly a stock '05 drz cost, if ard $7k is it worth it?... cos my s4 keep giving me problems, i think its time for a change... drz looks like a great bike for crusing along xpressway, wanna give drz a try, intend to grab a second hand one if possible.

bro, i think first u hv to understand that cruzing does not comes along with DRZ but for sg only, i think should be ok. me daily from Kallang to Pioneer then Pioneer to Tampines, ok la, not so bad. sometimes butt felt numb only...

but if u want a fun bike, then DRZ is a fun bike....no relax one corner like S4...

there are still better deals in the used bike garage sales section

i think he meant crusing on SG expressway:angel:

actually drz is a gd bike on SG rd, better pick up and better FC than S4, lighter weight, even more easier to maintain, 2 bottles EO(1.7L), 1 spark plug.

drz can also go touring/crusing, ride at ur own pace:cool:

ECU works similiar to CDI but ECU is not = CDI.

EFI bikes use ECU while carb bikes use CDI.

correct me if i am wrong:)

isnt that what i meant in my reply?? :sian:

it's like the difference btw carb and EFI, both supply fuel just that it works differently..

just trying to explain in layman's term..

gain more weight, u'll be having both feet firmly on the floor in no time

you can always adjust your preload settings to "lower" the bike..

not necessary must eat alot seh..

:thumb: totally agreed with you..

fi_east: if you can cruise at 70-80kph at SG expressways, this bike is suitable for you..

you can choose to cruise at higher speeds but it'll vibrate much more..

frankly speaking, i got quite a couple of friends gotten DRZ and sold it away because they cant get used to the vibes at high speeds..

:thumb: this is a model answer sia..

Whosaidil84: after all norishimu listed, you may be looking at a aftermarket exhaust.. and together with it, do the 3X3 and jettings..

To all new DRZ or to-be DRZ riders, do spend some time and read the previous pages for more info on accessories, problems, etc abt DRZ..

bro fi_east, i've been cruising at 90kph normally and sometimes hitting 100kph. yes, it vibrates but that's the profile of a motard or scrambler. no vibrate not a motard or scrambler. it's quite comfortable though....n fun. that's the thing abt it....so don't worry too much abt it cos u'll fall in love wif it once u ride it. cool factor....

Hi bros,

a totally noob here. have tried reading lots of pages but cant find the so-called best place to do servicing and accesorizing the drz. I know nuts about this bike but it was love at first sight. Hope the bros out here dont mind me asking some qns.

I will be getting my new bike tomorrow, yeap Tomorrow!!! HAHA so excited but can u advise me what to look out for especially before pushin it out of the bikeshop. What are the main areas i shud look out for so that if anything i can ask the shop to do it up for me.

and may i know which is the best place to get your servicing for the drz?

btw, i asked for the manual book cos im sure that a lot of things i can find in there but the shop kept saying they dun haf. sigh. o_O i read that some bros service evry 1000km, some every 1500km. whats the best bet?? and it seems like no one is using maxima eo. which type of eo for this bike??

so sorry to bother u guys with these bummer qns. but thank you in advance for ur advises ya.

btw, can i join u guys for ur outings?? so that i can learn more?? hee thanks...:cheeky:

i'm on knn.. same as my prev 2 bikes.. works well for me..

wat is manaul cam tensioner huh ??

if yours is a first hand drz, it comes with acct(auto cam chain tensioner).. from what i know from other seniors here, it makes ur chain loose in no time.. thus replacement reckons.. a change to mcct(manual cam chain tensioner) oughta give the chain a run for its worth.. can use it longer.. try searching the topic.. i read from page 1 when i first got my zee.. research helps.. :thumb:

Ooo.. getting ur bike from which shop?

first advise, find nearest petrol station.. :cheeky:

i'm on belray thumper.. change every month or every 2000-2500km.. that's my range, might differ fr other riders..

I bought it from southern. wah...after i gone home and do my calculations...kena chop sia. sianz. Cos too excited with the drz la. then sign never think.

for all bros out there, if thinking of getting a new drz....i would recommend as phoon, ghc and mah. asphoon and ghc currently got offer 12.1 otr (w/o coe only). my loss but ur gain.

PS: im not here to bring down the name of any bike shop but im merely telling of my own bad experience.

yeah bro, wat done is done so just enjoy the bike but i'm sure u'll enjoy the fun bike.

for a new bike, i guess nothing much to check. juz make sure engine oil is good, coolant is good, road tax n insurance is good. n u r good to go. n oso make sure all the free gifts that they promised u take oso. then get the hell out of that shop. for me, i banned myself from that shop for 20 yrs alrdy...

anyways, enjoyz n as bro norishimu says n i second that as i also do the same thing, read this drz thread from the 1st page to the last to know wat u need n wat u want....if cannot find, then ask lor....
