then, if all is done, the last thing will depend on ur heart, like looking at a girl, even if she is done up but not up to ur taste or liking, u will never get her also right? so same principle applies here for the bike. ride her n feel it. remember, she must chose u n u must chose her n to bond is to ride........then u r made for each other....:dozed:

i nv regretted getting drz, pick up faster, better FC, 2 EO n 1 spark plug, bike is nimble n light, still got other factors but in the meantime cannot think of.

maintenance wise drz cost saving, enough said.

any bike is prone to damage if owner nv take care or anyhow ride.

45k without proper maintenace confirm will have problem.

touring is no problem, remember to pump every 130-150km, or get a bigger tank.

ON/Off rd is no problem, ride wif care.

it will indeed serve u well, the bike tat u can trust

Does the FCR39 you bought...look like this?? If not you could have bought an FCR meant for an ATV or some other bike which is not jetted correctly for the DRZ. As it is from what you say... the bike is running way too lean.. you better get the main jet changed to a bigger one before you warped the cylinder head and blow the gaskets... then it really becomes a very expensive repair that will run pass $1k.

There are many types of FCR carbs with a 39mm bore. Not all of them are meant for a DRZ and there are alot of unscrupulous sellers around waiting to make a quick buck out of the ignorance of others.

The FCR 39 MX3 that is meant for the DRZ looks like this. If it does not look like the pics below and come with those parts... you have been conned.

The bellmouth adapter is silver in colour. It acts like a velocity stack giving the 'chirping' sound during hard accelerations. It is actually the sound of the air rushing into the carb. The adapter is mounted onto the mouth of the carb by 2 allen key screws. If the carb does not come with this adapter... it is not meant for the DRZ!!
