hi guys, wads the avg fc like for a drz? im contemplating between a zee and s4. can someone enlighten me on the zee side of the story?

Thanks..very much appreciated.

let's compare both bikes FC and maintenance issues..

Stock DRZ can have a FC of 30km/l whereas stock S4 maybe 25km/L??

A typical modded DRZ wields a FC of at least 24km/l and S4 is 19km/L..

Mine was ranging btw 24-27km/L..

Abt maintenance, DRZ only needs 1.7L of EO and 1 sparkplug.

whereas S4 needs 3.3L of EO and 4 sparkplugs.

DRZ servicing at every 3000KM and S4 at every 5000km.

Sparkplug wise average at 40 000KMs..

Servicing of carbs, inline-4 is more expensive than the DRZ's simple carb..

as a inline-4, changing of jetting, rubber boots and internals are equating to 4times of DRZ..

ultimately it's up to you if you want a thumper with torque or a inline-4 with good cruising speed..

both bikes are fairly simple engines and most shops will know how to service it..

i switched from S4 to DRZ.. never regret.. i only regret why i didnt buy DRZ in the first place..

Hi guys, my bracket which is holding the exhaust broke of near the screw end.

if u talking about stock exhaust, weld back will do, if aftermarket exhuast then u need to go back the distributor or shop to buy a new bracket or go seng kwang

btw b.p, how much to get those stainless steel brackets from seng kwang?

3 digit sum, ask them for quotation.

i got what.. the moment i reach, Ah Kee ask me all qns abt your Vapor..

now that it's connected direct to batt, the trip meter should not reset..

you can connect it back to ignition after you change the internal battery of the vapor..

anyway, mine humble ride.. still got more fierce rides out there.. do join the outings.. just came back from it.. :dozed:

thanks bro.. im more 'enlightened'. leaning towards.. zee now..

just warn you a bit.. dun expect a vibration-less ride when you are on a thumper..

a lot of ppl change away their DRZ because they cant stand the vibes when cruising at 90-100kph on expressway..

wait till you try 100kph till Malacca or 160kph along the straights at PG..

want a vibration-lesser ride, get S4..

very sad lah!!!

my Ohlin springs finally came! woo hoo!!!

took out the rear shock and remove the stock spring only to realize the ohlin spring cannot fit the stock shock.

Sian half day + sibei pek chek.

end up decided to full service plus change air filter, 3 X 3 and JD jet.

manage to bring my emotions back to one quarter sian + half pek chek...
