You lowside a sportsbike with its expensive fairings.... you will be in more debt.

You lowside the DRZ... you might at most change the handguard if you don't like the scratches. The bike is all plastic which tend to bend rather than break or crack.

You will have to decide whether its worth it or not.

By the way... I am speaking from my own expensive experience. I will not go back to sportbikes for the moment coz riding a DRZ saves me alot of money on maintenance and operation costs.

it depends on your style and preference..

some still like wearing MX boots when they transit from offroad to motard, leg out style.. back it in, sliding thru corners..

some ride a motard as sportsbike style, knee down, scrapping the knee sliders..

and for some adopted both styles..

if you riding with normal boots, your soles will wear out fast if you leg out..

if you using MX boots, you will find it hard to shift when exiting corners..

i got my suit at Regina at a very amazing price too..

yah a dun-buy-cannot-sleep-tonight price...

As previously mentioned,

1) Case Savers (abt $70)

2) MCCT (abt $90)

3) Axle Sliders ($110)

4) Hand Guards (from $180, get those metal bracket ones)

they are in order of importance..

u may want to google on the chain tensioner.

if no intend to go race / track:

new stock auto chain tensioner has improved.

no need to always manually adjust, eg too loose or too tight = not ideal

my personal opinion
