Fog lamps are yellow in colour for a reason... only yellow light can penetrate the fog. White light will just reflect back as white glare.

white light is useless, it can only see near objects, cannot see far, not LTA approved, might heat up very fast.

Get LTA approved types better, H4 osram nightbreaker recommended, sharper/brighter/further u can see.

i still selling my spare H4 nightbreaker!!!!!

selling SME rear axle slider block too, red in colour, interested pls PM me

Ohlins on track performance can cut down lap times by a few seconds. They work best under high speed conditions... especially in the fast corners.

Normally too low tyre pressures will cause this. But if the pressures are OK then it can be that the steering cone bearings are seized... seen that happen on a few DRZs already.

thks for the advice bro..j went down to um and got the steering cone changed..now steering feelsgreat...bro jus enquring..wat kind of sprocket u using uh?..im looking for something that gives better acceleration..compromising the top speed is ok..any advice..haha..thk!

stock rear is 41.. you can try 43.. compromise top a lil to give u some extra pull..

Jus Dont Let go of the Grip When is Pops a Wheelie...

Btw guys i'd like to know more abt the types of aftermarket handle bars in the market.

Whats the difference between low bend, mid bend and high bend bars? Does is give a great difference in the control of the bike? Also what are the different bars design for, own comfort and preference or again performance?

Thanks guys

Its always, "Which tyre is good on WET?" Why not ask, "Which road is good when WET?"

ProTaper & Easton bars.

For my personal preference, i use low bend, lower than stock. handling wise also diff than stock of cos.

i though he mentioned 43R?

The front is 15F FYI.

front can stick to 15 (stock)..

High bend or low is just a matter of personal preference as much as the sweep of the bar. Some bar clamps are offset forward or back depending again on the preference of the rider.

Being from off road background.. high bend bars are normally used by taller riders, so that they don't have to crouch down when they stand up on the footpegs.

Since I ride on road tracks most of the time and ride knee down in the corners, I prefer wide low bend with the bar offset forward.

Depends on the carb set up too... some settings allow for very strong torque at lower rpms but lousy top end. Some are set for lower torque at low rpms but with high top end, ie pulls stronger at the towards the max rpms.

If your engine setup is for low torque at low rpms.. a big rear sprocket will help. But if your engine is setup for very strong torque at low rpms... you won't want to put a big sprocket behind... you cannot use the power coz you got to keep backing off the throttle to prevent wheelies.

Big rear sprocket disadvantage is needing to do quick gear changes to stay in the power bend... very tiring on a short track.

I am using 16F and 42 rear... and can drag the lower gears much longer... giving me a faster acceleration out of corners because my engine is tuned to be quick revving. Just for reference... I can drag the 4th gear to 145 KMH before upshifting.

In the end... it comes down to the way you ride the bike.... and not one sprocket size can fit 2 persons style of riding. You yourself have to do the trial and error for the correct sprocket setting.

Hey ya'all,

I am new DRZ rider and am damn happy with my ride. Just took it up to Malaysia and hit up to about 158k/h. Smooth and good.

Jus wanna knowm, I wanna go for oil change and greasing up! Any recommendations for a good and trustworthy job. Thinking of doing a tyre change also!

Last but not least!! Any meet-ups??

What is neccessary to be done or fixed on a stock DRZ400SM:

MCCT- Manual Cam Chain Tensioner where u can manually adjust the cam chain instead of the OEM ACCT (Automatic cam chain tensioner)

Factory automatic adjusters can back out when the throttle is suddenly closed at higher rpms.

This allows the cams to momentarily go out of time and can result in bent valves and/or serious engine damage!

Hydraulic tensioners have a tendency to put too much tension on the chain guide under high rpm/high oil pressure conditions, resulting in premature cam chain wear.

Installation of a Manual Cam Chain Tensioner will allow you to maintain the proper, constant cam chain tension necessary for reliable hi-performance riding and it will not backout.

PAIR System- If u have a aftermarket exhaust fixed, best to remove the PAIR system, or else will cause popping and unsteady deceleration, removing it won't give more power, may give a little better response and will give better smoothness.

Stainless Steel Brake Hose- Enhance braking feel.

Rubber hoses or mild steel fittings are cheap but we all know how rubber hose bulges under pressure, allows brake fluid to absorb water vapour from the atmosphere and that mild steel fittings rust.

BRAKING Disc- More friction coefficient, Better resistance to the heat, More initial braking power, More feeling on the lever, Better handling, Less weight, Thicker than stock disc.

UNABIKER Radiator Guard- Provide awesome side impact protection and help prevent radiator fold-back during a crash.

Axle Sliders- Protects front fork and rear swing-arm.

SME Rear Axle Slider Block- Additional protection with concurrence with the axle sliders, protects swing-arm, rear disc, sprocket.

ThumperTalk Skid Plate- Extra protection specially if for off-road purposes.

3X3 Air Box Mod- De-restrict the air flow and better performance with an aftermarket Air Filter. Remember to re-jet the stock carburetor to match the A/F ratio.

CFC Case Shields- Extra protection for Ignition and clutch covers.

The stock magnesium DRZ engine cases are both thin and brittle.

As a result, they are very vulnerable to damage (cracks & impact punctures) from the bike's shift/brake lever and rocks when the bike falls.

Handguards- Prevent clutch and brake levers from breakage/bent during a drop or crash.

Exhaust Slider- APA Muffler Slider is made from a specially formulated thick, tough, plastic material that resists wear and helps protect your muffler in the event of a crash, much like a frame slider does.

The slider clamps on securely and the material has built in lubrication molecules that let them slide and not grip the pavement like a soft piece of rubber would.

Road Racers are enjoying the benefits of Muffler Slider protection when they fall off. It can not easily slide off.

Remove the kickstand safety switch. DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

If the kickstand is down the bike will not start.

On jumps and bumps the kickstand will bounce around momentarily killing your engine.

Thus I remove kickstand sensor.

Remove the clutch safety switch. DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

If the clutch isn't pulled in, it will not start.

This just one more electronic switch to break from nowhere, so I remove this safety device.

Hi, previously while riding 2B bike need to use 2T and friend suggest that take some 2T (abit) to mix it inside the fuel tank will make the bike more smooth (further more the exhaust smell a bit of 2T). Is this make sense. If is ture and we use the same method to do at DRZ?

no offence, my take will be your nick..

Hmm.... put 2T into the tank to run a 4 stroke engine like a 2 stroke?? How come the highly paid and qualified engineers in the Research and Development branch of the motorcycle manufacturers didn't think of that?

Let's see the plus points... first the spark plug will get oil fouled up leading to misfirings and poor consumption and power, then the valves and valve seats will get coated with carbon causing leaks and again loss of compression and more power.. then the exhaust system will be clogged with more carbon buildup resulting in a choked exhaust system leading to even more loss of power.

Spend all that money on FCR carbs and aftermarket exhaust systems to increase the power of the bike and kill it all off by putting 2T into the fuel tank?

What a brilliant idea... I shall try it out and post the results here. Heheh.

But seriously... I am only joking... I really hope your friend is too.
